There is a lot of the time where I feel scared and embarrassed at the same time to share something about myself. It does not feel the same as when I feel shame. Is there a name for that feeling - is it part of shame?

Fear of rejection? The shame comes after the rejection, so they are interlinked.

Feeling "vulnerable"?
By sharing something, you're taking the risk of opening yourself and lowering your defenses. Sometimes people are scared to share real feelings because they feel they'll be dismissed, rejected, misunderstood, or judged. So that's scary. And then the embarrassment--to reveal yourself as human and potentially weak and having needs can sometimes feel embarrassing to people, like you should be above all that or that to admit weakness or vulnerability is a weakness rather than a strength. It takes a lot of strength to plow through those feelings and allow yourself to be vulnerable. |
