Just what it says really....
I am a little bit unsure about how I feel. I am not attached to her I just genuinely like her. She seems dead nice and I was just thinking if only I had a friend like her. Do you think its appropriate to give her a card? She is a trainee so I knew this day would come. |

I think giving her a card would be completely acceptable. I wrote my T a short thank you card at the end of therapy. I would think most Ts appreciate that kind of feedback and knowing they've made a difference for a client

I once told my therapist in an email two of the best ways he has helped me. He was so touched that he didn't read the last half of the email well! He said he rarely gets to hear feedback and that he really appreciated it.

I think a card would be a nice idea. I'm sure your T would appreciate it, and maybe it will be helpful for you too, to have a good ending.

I think a card is appropriate. I'm going to give my T a card when we transition.

Thanks guys, I'm gonna buy her a really nice card and think hard on what to write inside. I have known her for 4 months so we have done a lot in that time

That sounds like a lovely idea. I do agree with everyone that a card is totally okay.
