I should not be nervous but I am for some reason. I mean I have worked with this guy for a year now. We did not have sessions for the last six weeks due to conference he needed to go to and him being sick or me being sick and such. sigh....

He doesn't usually make you nervous? It's just going back after the long break? Good luck, I'm sure it will be fine once you're in there with him. I'm ALWAYS convinced I have nothing to say before each session, still after x years of therapy, then I get in there and start spewing!

Tobey, I bet once you see your T again, you will relax. I get that sometimes with mine, but once he pops his head out the door and tells me he'll be with me in just a minute, I just totally relax. It's like my mind and body have somehow forgotten how to be around him, until they are reminded by his physical presence.

I think its fear of making that connection again, and fear of not making it, thinking what if its gone? It will be ok.

It's nerve wrecking to go in after such a long break. Worrying where you stand with your T again. But I think you will find he will be "right where you left him".
I hope it goes well.

Thanks everyone. Yeah it turned out alright. He did bring up some issues from the last session that I had actually forgot about so we jumped right back into it. This time we also talked more about the DID......which was good.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement.
