You don't have to accept the offer if you don't want to.

Does your country have a test / probation period for employer and employee to assess if a new job is a good fit?

In my country it varies from a couple of weeks to one year where you have a much shorter notice period during the probation time.

Hugs! Good luck on the second one!
You don't have to take a job you don't want (although your parents might say differently - really. It's important that you can be at least "ok" with your job. If you dread going everyday, it won't be good for you nor for the company)

Second one went ok too, but I don't like it either. Meh. First one was better. Maybe I should agree... I don't know.

QM: no, we don't have such a period in most of the companies

No. I think I'm going to decline.

Hugs. If they ask why, you're not obligated to tell them. You can say something neutral like you're looking for a better fit elsewhere.

I find it hard to say no without feeling guilty or bad or having to justify myself with detailed explanations.

After a long rant about our father from my sister about a frustrating conversation she had with him, my sister said "any way QM, I don't want to spam you with complaints..."

Then she told me our mother told her she has been diagnosed with Parkinson's and doesn't want me and my brothers to know.

I had my suspicions but our mother had told me "suspected Parkinson's" and just last week my sister learned about the suspected Parkinson's.

I hope it doesn't worsen her untreated anxiety and I hope she won't develop depression.

I guess my suspicion has been confirmed. She doesn't want to take meds and will just do physiotherapy.

I so can't wait to see t tomorrow after work. I've got so much stuff going round in circles in my head and they can't find the exit so they just keep going 'round. Why am I here on this planet kind of stuff, how could I ever think that I have truly loved another person when I have never loved myself? stuff. Saturday night I went to such a deep place inside myself I saw so many things. Now I understand why people say if I could live my life over again I would do.... because I just might take the chance on it now if I could... a do-over.... and I would love myself and take care of myself the way I should have done this first time around.

(Mid-life existential crisis, much?)

Morning, couchies. Hugs all around to whoever wants. Cuz I want.

Today might be really hard. I was talking to T yesterday about my bad week of not existing, and a lot of things about growing up spilled out. I always thought they were normal but T said they very much were not and fell under the category of serious neglect.

And for some reason I woke up remembering the schedule I was supposed to have today as of the beginning of last week, forgetting I changed it all late last week when I was having the same problems.

It's an easier schedule for sure, but the not remembering is so uncomfortable for me. It gives me butterflies and makes my teeth kind of hurt.

Hopefully she'll read and understand where I'm coming from.
I mentioned this to my t today. I think things have changed since trump got elected. All of a sudden, hes like, of COURSE we have to name the truth!! I didnt press the issue of HIM withholding value judgments, but he DID condemn my previous longterm t for not being more outwardly validating, which was something new.

Eta - he said that, for people with parents like mine, you DO have to acknowledge their reality as... unreal! Or whatever.

I am thinking of trading my T1 in for these and a magic 8-ball combo (both less expensive and more useful):

Couch 137: Jung's Obsession

I once as a joke bought this thing called "Therapist In A Box". It came with a bunch of little cards that had very generic text book sayings on it. I found it hysterical. XT saw it as mocking. I still found it funny. lol

Nothing to do with anything on PC. It just occured to me.

It is a very big thing to ask that even one person should have you as their top priority 24 hours a day.

Yesterday, I said that something marriage counselor said was really "therapist-y." He was like, "Well, I am a therapist!" I said that wasn't exactly what I meant... (I'm sure he probably got it--he's pretty self-aware and tends to make fun of himself.)

Depends on how fast the traffic on the freeway is moving. You don't want someone going 30 entering a freeway where everyone else is going 65.
