Indeed.

Also, we've dispensed with healthcare benefits.

We believe the work itself will be therapeutically beneficial to the point of not ever needing to use mundane healthcare services.

Believe in yourself. And, your assembly line, of course.

Some things are just not right - regardless of the potential for monetary gain. I would prefer to use my dollars for truly useful items like baby crates; separate sidewalks for idiots with large strollers; and tipping therapist' ears to make them easily identifiable when out mixing with the real people.

It's really really hard not to look (or to not be obvious about it).

Or, when she scratches her armpits openly. Or pulls up her bra strap.

I'm with you on the strollers, but are we now sterilizing therapists? Or just alerting innocent passersby that they are therapists?

Eta: ah, you clarified in the original post.

The tipping itself doesn't neuter them. Of course, I am not anti-sterilizing those people. I have never known a child of one of those people who was not massively ****ed up. I am not sure I think allowing them to breed is a good idea.

You seem really close with your T, which is awesome...and rare.

He seems fun

DodgersMom / JD -- I think even if JD deletes the pictures, it'll continue to show up in DodgersMom's reply.

So, some editing may be considered (unless of course, JD is okay with it)?

i was lucky enough to get a pic of my T on Tuesday but I promised him I'd never post it online so I'd feel weird sharing it. Very nice that some allow it though

I would urge caution and discretion in posting pictures of other people. Even if you think they might not mind.

There is only one picture of my T online and once I tried to zoom in on the books in the background to see if I could read their titles.

Unfortunately I couldn't make them out.

I'm working on my list of questions for No. 3.

A goodly number boil down to "what the heck were you thinking? Were you thinking?"

I have not seen evidence that thinking is their profession's strong point. I really do not believe they do much thinking professionally.
I suppose it possible they think on their own time -but I doubt it

Kinda unfair to bunch them all together in generic statements, there is always exceptions.

You seem to be a huge un-supporter of therapy.

Slipped a kill the fleas pill in feral cat's food tonight. It is expensive, but it does keep the fleas down. And it works quickly. And in my experience, it is one the cats will eat without noticing.

How I love predictably dysfunctional behavior.

Quick update on the family financial effed-up-ess -- told brother I can send him the money if he'd give me specifics of his financial situation (I listed out the details I wanted to know).

Got a looooong not-even-pretending-to-not-be-manipulative response from him about how I didn't trust him despite being his sibling and how he can't reveal any details blah blah.

Problem automatically solved -- am not bailing him out (like ever) and the icing on the cake is that I have absolutely no guilt about it now.

I couldn't have engineered a better outcome even if I'd deliberately tried. Ahh.

Thanks everyone for the super awesome support.

(except SD of course)

Why do people book live accoustic musicians for their outdoor wedding with no overhead shelter or rain venue, and then get extremely upset when it inevitably rains and we don't play, just like it says in our contract?

Every time

Dealing with weekly weddings has made me never, ever want to have one.
