What kind of things does your T have in their office? Do they share or have their own room?

Mine has little bits and pieces on a shelf, some cushions and a blanket in her own office space

My t has her own room, a large bookshelf filled with books, and some inspirational quote artwork on the walls. Her room is colorful with not too much stuff and what is there is neatly arranged. It si always very clean and dust free which i like!

Not much, actually. The room is pretty minimalistic, which I think is in part because she shares it with 2 other therapists at the office. (i.e., it's not too personalized since none of them technically "own" it.) It's still cozy, though. Nice looking lamps, basic desk, computer, bookshelf, and chairs.

My only complaint is that she has a chair with a cushion that I'm convinced is filled with gravel. If you press the cushion with the palm of your hand, it feels stabby. Seriously, my @ss hurts halfway through therapy.

My old T used to have a couch. I want a couch.

Not too much in the room , a couple of pictures and a box of some kind ( probably symbolic ) so clutter free.

My t has a nice, spacious office filled with the usual things -- couch, chairs, coffee table, books, desk, plants, artwork. The room is kind of sectioned in two. The other day I noticed for the first time that t has a keyboard and a bean bag in the other half space. I'm still alarmed that I have been to t's office at least 20 times and I never noticed what was in this other half til now.

My T shares her office with another T. The other T did the decorating. There's a large L-shaped desk, a bookshelf with books, a big comfy chair (my T sits there), and a large leather couch with pillows. There's one or two paintings on the wall. I don't notice anything else really. I spend most the time looking at my T.

Her office is in a small house which is owned by another therapist who rents out two rooms to other therapist's. Her office is decent sized, she sits in a nice office chair that swivels and tilts back, I sit on the comfy leather sofa with throw pillows. She has a small desk behind her chair and above it she has her credentials framed . Above the sofa she has a really nice nautical picture. And on the end table she has a bowl of candy and a picture that I gave to her on a really cool frame : ) Oh.. and of course a box of tissue should the need arise.

Books, all work-related, hutchtop L-shaped desk, 2 wide leather chairs for clients. Small fridge with water bottles for clients. Walls are wood-paneled.

African and Japanese art on display on shelves and walls, a picture of Christ crowned with thorns (doesn't bother me), a piece of petrified wood, and a figure of Lucy Van Pelt behind her 5 cent psychiatric help stand.

Disappointingly, despite her Cactus Woman nickname I derived from her website, no live cacti or representations of them.

My T has his own office that has 3 huge bean bag chairs that are so comfortable to sit on and they're also big enough to lay on if I choose to.Each has 2 fluffy/fuzzy pillows that match. There's a table in the corner that has a keurig coffee maker and a chocolate fountain and always strawberries and pretzels to go with it.The walls are a comforting beige color with rustic style wall hangings. It's very comfortable, relaxing, and makes me feel I can really open up.

I wish.

Actually he does have his own office,he's the owner, but the walls are an ugly light greenish color with weird wall hangings, there's a desk with a computer that's very disorganized and messy,a bookshelf loaded down with books that's disorganized and messy, books falling over and out,2 recliners/rockers and a very uncomfortable chair that's very oversized. It's all very uncomfortable and annoyimg and makes me want to clean and organize everything.

My T has his own office in a practice with about 8 other therapists and psychiatrists. He decorated it himself, so it is very "him."

He has a big old wooden desk that he inherited from someone (can't remember who). He keeps it off to one side. I don't think it gets much use other than when he's doing paperwork.

He has an antique bookcase with assorted books, mostly therapy-ish topics. He sits on his desk chair (not by the desk though) and I sit on a leather loveseat. There are also about 4 other chairs kind of to each side sort of forming a circle for his family sessions. He has lots of family pictures around his office: he has 4 grown kids and a whole bunch of grandkids.

His walls and shelves are decorated with pictures, photographs, and knick knacks that he either took or acquired himself or was given by clients throughout the years: everything from McDonald's Happy Meal toys a child client gave him to the figurine I gave him several years into our work together. He can tell you the story behind every gift from every client which I think is pretty interesting; you can tell he really remembers many clients long after they have moved on.

It's a comfortable office, sort of cabin-like in a way. Very much like him. He's a very outdoorsy kind of guy.

I spend so much time looking at the office to avoid looking at him...

It's his own office. I have no doubt that he decorated and furnished it. In it he has an armchair with a blanket across the back, but he's always blocking that chair with the office chair he sits in. Loveseat for clients. He has a small bookshelf in the corner. Along the wall with the door is the Evil ChairT's office and a small desk.

He has a few knickknacks around. A couple of Native American tapestries hanging on the walls, which are painted teal and some other accent color I can't recall offhand.

Wow, I did a double take when I read about the chocolate fountain! That is so cool!

A horrible couch for clients, a table that thankfully keeps her away from me, and a chair for her.
I don't really notice pictures or such. I don't think she has a bookcase. I don't think she reads much - I am assuming she can read but reading is not her strongest suit.

L's office is very nice. It's a tiny converted sunroom in the back of her house- so walls are all windows out into her yard. All mid century furniture, goldenrod-colored sofa that I might make an offer on when she moves, if I have the $$. It's gorgeous. Oriental rug. A statue of a wooden lady. Not part of the office but there's a massive squirrel always hanging out on the fence, the size of a small cat.

M's office I would describe as "tender lunacy." Crazy artwork everywhere, on walls and ceiling too, odds and ends from travelling. Clay bowls, metal bowls, gourd bowls with beads pressed into them. Japanese masks on the walls. White marble sculptures. A huge pile of every color and size of cushion. A corner full of plants. A table stacked about 2 feet high with case files. Loads of books. Massive abstract paintings in jarring colors. Photos of mentors. Two big leather office chairs for us-- I hate those chairs for some reason. He has so much artwork. When I said I had nothing on my walls he brought out a stack of signed prints for me to take home because he "had nowhere he could ever put them"

I'll have to wait a few more weeks before I get to see how T will set up her office. I am curious as to how she'll set up the office. I hope she puts up a picture of my filing cabinet, maybe the corner.

T has her own, fairly spacious room with a desk, 2 small-ish bookcases, swiveling chair, a couple lamps, a small plant or two, a fan and a sofa. Not sure what else. I just can't get over the sofa... yellow. WHY??? It's comfy, but jeeeez.. yellow!

T gets assigned a clinic room in the hospital outpatient clinic. There's nothing personal in each of the rooms and they're nearly identical.

Awful hard plastic and metal patient chairs lol, and an armchair near the door for the caregiver. She has a standard roller desk chair. L shaped desk with computer on it. There's a sink and paper towel dispenser and a trash can.

LGBT T's office is much nicer, though it isn't his. There's an L shaped desk but we don't sit there but sit in the open space near it. I sit near it in a comfortable wicker chair with a cushion and he sits across me with nothing between us.

There's a book cabinet with lots of books, stuff on the walls, a rainbow throw somewhere. Cosy and relaxed.

My T just moved into a new building further for me to drive. Very minimalistic now. No books, no clock, or art on the wall. Just a small loveseat to sit on. I currently stopped therapy - and in need to find one closer to home now.

I like to look at the books on T's bookcase.
Thinking of that place makes me feel safe.

He is moving to a building down the street later this year. But for now, his office is small but not too cluttered. The couch I sit on is a faux suede love seat with a light blanket draped across the back. The walls have mostly printed canvases of his own outdoor photography He has a very small row of books on a tiny window ledge. A desk that faces the window and s plain locking filing cabinet. The cabinet is mostly out of patient view but he has crystals and minerals on it. Two plants in the office. A small handful of patient gifts near his laptop. Sometimes he has a small Tibetan singing bowl in his office but it is currently mia He sits in what looks like a leather Levanger rolling chair. A peaceful space that is surprisingly uncluttered

This is the third office I have seen T in. It is my least favorite. It is quitr bare. It is in a old building that use to be a house. There is a desk in the corner that just had on it what she brings in that day plastic bin with client files, purse. Etc. A brown cushion couch with two patching fairs and a coffee table. There is built in bookcase which holds about a dozen books that belong to t... that's it. All the furniture his owed and provided by the building owner. Up until recently only T used the office. She now shares the office with a hyonotist. Previously I saw her at her home office that d decorations, plants, a more money feel

My T has just moved into a new place... it's a basement flat. It's kinda musty and dark and chilly but to be honest my opinion of it appears to change dramatically along with my opinion of him. So maybe I just think he's musty and dark and chilly right now. Heh.

I see him in a tiny little room with a (very comfy, with feather cushions) sofa, his chair, a bookshelf, a little table... erm, and an object which I think is a keyboard but for some reason he has covered it up with a towel? Yeah, I dunno. There's a rug and a picture on the wall and some clocks and some boxes of tissues and... that's about it.

I haven't looked much at the picture on the wall yet. I wonder what it is.

My t has a little building in her front yard. It's like a tiny house, she has horses in the field beside it, there are chickens, dogs and roosters in her yard.
In her office there is lots of clay, toys, pencils and colours. She has lots of blankets, bean bags and candles. She also has meditation and mindfulness cds and lots of books. I really like her office because it's not like an office, also there is a funny smell, like incense, candles and farm
