I had moments of wanting cake today too! Sadly I'm going to settle for pictures and think of my blood sugar. All my clothes are getting loose. All these years of saying how healthy I am despite being overweight are gone. Instead of diet and exercise for weight loss, I'm doing it to prevent dialysis. . .

Hahah, I love the "omg cake" expression going on in that picture. It is a pretty great cake.

I have a small circular scar on my other arm that I got assembling furniture last fall. So I adapted that story to the sh scar.

Nobody asks about my sh scars... it's a big elephant in the room when I am with family. So, generally I keep them covered just so people don't feel uncomfortable.

I know, I know. You both actually want real cake. But pictures of cakes are nice, right?!

I'm from the US but those are my favorite freaking cakes. I just wish they had a bit more of the cream stuff

When I was in college I had two sizeable sh scars on about the same location of each forearm. To explain it to my parents when I came home, I told this elaborate story about how we were trapping turtles for biology class and I gouged them on a rock. It was a terrible story!

I can't stop eating... stupid emotions and unhealthy coping skills. So, to avoid sh, or suicide I am going to eat.

There used to be a shop in my town called Pie When You Need It. There needs to be a car service for pies and cakes on demand. I hate having to go get that stuff and I hardly ever think ahead to get it, but when I need it...it's immediate.

I keep reading the thread title as Contact Milked Cactus and it gives me an upsetting feeling, like the world makes even less sense than usual.

Can you share an audio recording, a-a?

That was just the most amazing unbelievable session I have ever had. After I finish making my cake and process it a bit I will tell you all about it.

Up at 5:30. Trimmed a tree and weeded in the rain. Cleaned out shed. Put items out in driveway with free sign. Made a dump run for the rest. Planted two trees. Walked dog for an hour. Bought shoes and a hummingbird feeder, bought groceries, visited the nursing home, went for another walk, picked peas from my garden to put in stir fry. First full day off since December, and I am on a roll. So. look. out.

6 hours to go and I still haven't heard from my daughter. We heard from her on Friday to see if we could babysit the grandson on Sat so that she could go to Ciderfest. Wife told her that we were going to out to dinner with my dad for father's day (yep on Saturday). So it's not like she didn't know it was this weekend. Sigh, estrangement sucks regardless of which side of the coin you are on.

I thought I would give the blanket thing a go. When I went in I told T I brought the blanket and with some prompting I wrapped it around me. My t asked me about the blanket was it something I bought or had I had a long time. It was one of my Ds. I wrapped it around me it felt odd as I have never wrapped myself in a blanket before. He asked what I wanted to talk about and after some prompting I produced the letter and he asked about the ways I punish myself and told him then we talked about how afraid I was of the "part"as he calls them that makes me do this. Then said something about him thanking the part which sounded just crazy but I felt part getting less angry and smaller. I was so stunned. I was less spacey and more present. I found the blanket seemed to contain me as I usually feel like I am spilling out of the chair. I don't know what to make of all this.

So I give you my tea cake I ran out of cinnamon so it's just sugar on top

I love cuddling under all the blankets! I bought an extra fan this weekend just so I could keep my "winter" blanket on during summer. I live in the south, so its not very cold in the winter.

Either way. Blankets are great.

BCM - I am glad it went well.
Even though being wrapped up in blankets creeps me out

Exsqueeze me?! You've never wrapped a blanket around yourself before?!

Edit: This was said jokingly

Not to my knowledge, no. I doubt as a kid I would have been allowed to mess up a bed or linen closet for such a trivial reason
