Honestly, I'm thinking he said that because he's old (in his 50s) and paternalistic. Asian, conservative, paternalistic, plus he said said stuff like...when I asked if hormonal birth control would affect my psych meds, he said I shouldn't "give [my body] away" so easily. When I said it's none of his business, he said gives that advice with all his younger female patients.

I've never ever ever told him I want to attract men, sigh.

Glad I'm being discharged into the community mental health GP network soon

I went to see the therapist about how I can start over, because I'm horrible at making new friends, but even more challenging is the idea of building a life with NO friends, professional referrals, or contacts.

He said, "You don't seem to be suffering from Autism or any type of learning disability. I think we should test your intelligence, and figure out why you fell for this."

It's as if I talked about being emotionally manipulated for hours, and he completely ignored it.
Wow, your therapist is terrible. Essentially blaming you and insulting you. Intelligence has nothing to do with likelihood of being manipulated by a skilled scammer. You were manipulated because someone took advantage of your kind heart
Thanks for this!
