In my last session at the end t said "Alright my friend, it's time to go". I thought this was a bit of a weird thing for t to say, since she's a professional and not my friend. Does anyone else's t say this?

Yes, at least around here it's used like dude, buddy, pal, etc. Oddly I've most gotten it from strangers.

One time toward the beginning of therapy my T and I were discussing how ultra-afraid of him I still was-- about six months in, I think. He was like "can we please be friends??" It made me laugh.

I wouldn't read into it too much. I come from a culture where we say "Hun" and "sweetie" and "friend" for any random person. (Ie: a cashier will say "thanks sweetie, have a nice day") We don't mean anything by it.
It was probably just an expression.

I think it is a generic thing. I wouldn't read to much into it. T does it occasionally. There have been times where she has told me that she has referred to me as a friend. Since we I work a mental health facility sometime we exchange things going on in the community. If she is talking to somebody about info I told her she will tell them that a friend told her. I do the same...that way she protects my identity
