I've been having therapy online for nearly a year now and the more I get immersed into it the more I enjoy it and get excited for the next session. I guess I just like knowing more about my fears and why I act the way I do. I think this has caused me to think about therapy and my therapist and it's sort of starting to get to me.

Addiction is an interesting way to think about it. I've never thought about it like that before.
If you are interested in learning about your fears and why you act the way you do, would you get the same out of taking a psychology course or something else? Or are you really addicted to something else (i.e. attached to your therapist, liking the feeling of having someone pay attention to your needs, giving you 100% attention, etc.)?

I usually think of addiction as something that interferes with healthy functioning in your everyday life. Does therapy get in the way of work/school, hobbies, friendships, or other relationships for you? I put a lot of time and energy into therapy, but I also get a lot out of it, and I feel like therapy enhances my ability to be who I want to be in the rest of my life.

I don't know if I'm addicted to therapy, but I do really enjoy going and part of me fears getting "better" or getting to a point where I no longer need therapy.
