1. What type of therapy has helped your attachment-based issues? What does it involve?
a. I HATE searching for a new therapist. I have to see two different profiles of my former T scroll past me on various pages. b. I've accidentally contacted two interns at the place where former T works. There are two separate therapy groups- one that my former t runs and the other, her business partner is in charge of. Two different names. When I rec'd the confirmation e-mail, I tapped on the address to map the location...and it's my former t's place. I didn't recognize the address, she just moved. c. Searching for a new t sucks in general. I've yet to really interview any t's at all...I basically gloss over my issues for them and they agree to help w/everything. So, the search continues. |

actually, the type of therapy that helped me the most, not only with my attachment issues, but with the transference, my anxiety, self harming behaviors, and pretty much calming my over all emotional dysregulation was doing nuerofeedback therapy in conjunction with my regular talk therapy. if you decide to look into this, look for a practitioner who is familiar with Sebern Fisher's NFB protocols for healing developmental trauma.
