What do you say when they ask you what topic you want to discuss.

I say what topic I want to discuss.
If I don't have one I say I don't have one.

I generally start talking about what I wanted to talk about, sometimes T will say something, and sometimes I will tell T that I don't have anything to say and I hate it. I usually leave those times because I feel horrible because I think I might have had something to say and work through and now I'm leaviing and won't be able to if something comes up. You can tell him how you've progressed or something. Sorry I wasn't much help.

What do the others in your group say? Can you get an idea from listening to them?
