Want to go / don't want to go, that's how I feel about Schema Therapy...

If I didn't like the Therapist it would be a no-brainer, I'd have written that discharge letter and handed it in by now - I guess a small part of me is still hopeful that it will help; or it could just be that I'm too ashamed to go back to counsellor full time, like I'd failed, when she was so keen for me to try Schema Therapy... I can't do both, but I don't want to lose that connection with her; there's so much day to day crap I could do with talking to counsellor about, things I can't bring in to Schema sessions, simply because it isn't the right place. I don't want to talk about how situations make me feel or what mode I'm in - I need to talk about the situations themselves... Arghh!!!

What to do...

Sometimes a particular therapy type isn't right for everyone. It's okay to change your mind and you won't have failed by going back to the counselor.

Thanks for this!

If you go, you can also not go.
If you don't go, you can't go.

So the first option doesn't involve decision making-you can do both. Go. You can ungo afterwards.
