After a couple of weeks with essentially no contact with T I have an appointment with long term T tomorrow morning . She had a medical emergency. Almost 2 weeks ago I sent T an email about something I was struggling with. She didn't respond right off because of having emergency surgery. Totally get and expect that. She said she would get back to me regarding my issue. I told her my issues needed to wait as her health came first. I did contact her a couple of times to make sure she was okay but other than that we have had no contact nor did she or I Mention what my issues . For many here a couple of weeks is nothing but for me especially this time of year (by far the hardest) it is huge. I realized that while I have never considered her a mother figure she is the only parental type figure i have. But I have done okay the last couple of weeks. So part of me wants to contact T and EMDR and tell them that maybe it time for me to let them go and try it alone. It a lot less painful to not deal with my past and no longer be attached to them. Yet how do i do that??
