I'm sad after reading my thread about the pharmacist saying that we could stay
in touch. I don't know why that is so hard to believe.
If I wasn't a customer there, then he wouldn't be in a position of authority over me.

There are so many people in the world Hope. One has to be for you if not many many many someones. Maybe don't focus on one person out of billions? Cast a wider net. You are so hard on yourself.

Hi, Hope. I am so sorry if my post hurt your feelings. I promise I was trying to be supportive. I'm not judging you and, again, I'm very sorry if I hurt your feelings.

I stay in contact with many people including former professors. Sometimes you just meet kind souls who make the world a little better with their presence. I'm so used to people leaving that it shouldn't even hurt anymore.

It doesn't matter. The pharmacist probably hated me anyway.

It doesn't sound like he hated you. He was already in a relationship.

Hope, I believe we get lessons in life through meeting people. I think learning to let go, to surrender, is what you may be having to learn now. We cannot force people to stay. We cannot make people feel a certain way for us. It is a good thing that you want him to be happy, because knowing this, you can begin to let him go now and wish him joy.
Thanks for this!

That's such a lovely & caring response. You should be a therapist!

That is a mature attitude. If you wan him to be happy you can also let him go.

I've already let him go.

One day, he will just be the guy who works at the pharmacy.
