This evening's session was strange. T was Dad-ish today, whereas he usually feels like a mom. The chair felt too big for me He made a few helpful suggestions to me regarding my relationship with my husband.

I've been trying to process the session and the thing that just jumped out at me is that at one point I was thinking that the chair felt too big today. Yeah, my favorite chair in the whole wide world felt too big for me.

When I was little my father was rarely available for chat. I missed out on a lot because of his inability to put himself aside for his children. I never had anyone to go to to listen to my problems.

To use a Mouse term, bollocks, double bollocks, BOLLOCKS!!!

Thanks Mouse, that felt good

That's a curious observation! I get that with the kitchen sink and my car sometimes, but they say i'm a multiple so that would explain it. Was it because how your T was in comparison to usual?

Great question Pinksoil. I always tell people that I can't get lost because I'm always with Me. :-) So, to your question, I'd answer, "I'm the right size, it's the chair that doesn't fit.

Your avatar is too cute! What a great idea to start using an avatar to illustrate your point. You are a teacher, right!

Going along with the baby theme, this may cheer you up:

This is very interesting that the chair felt big for you.

Can I ask, how do you know if T is being like mom or dad? I've been meaning to ask this as I see it posted on PC quite a bit...

I don't know if I have ever thought T was being like either of my parents or am I missing the point?

Hey all,

good questions!

Hmmm. Maybe I did feel small Pink.

Usually, T feels like Mom to me. I even told him once I needed to get him a pink bathrobe because of a dream I had (LOL).

However, I distinctly felt like he was dad to me yesterday; just listening and offering suggestions, very supportive but mostly just there-big and strong!

Yeah, I love my avatar too--found it by googling images. (By the way, that's almost exactly what the chair looks like).

OMG Soliaree,

That was too cute and too funny.

I hope I was able to laugh like that when I was a baby. I'm only afraid that maybe I wasn't.

It was infectious -- I have a huge smile now. Thanks.

PS Yeah, I am a teacher, didn't make the connection to visuals, but I guess you are right--always looking to make that connection!
