Okay, i finally put on my bearclaws - they are like generic synthetic knitted uggs - and im wrapped up in a blanket. And i washed the kitchen floor, so i did something today. I am not good at taking care of myself, esp keeping myself warm. Stuff like that, thats um whats the word? Not quantifiable?

So Info almost earned her fee today. I’m still going to see Piaf, but if she seems promising, I might keep them both, as Piaf takes my insurance and therefore both would be affordable.

Info has a four-month-old grandson, apparently. Maybe she’ll start dressing more like 65 instead of 21 now?

Lemoncake, I wish I had something to offer that could help. I'm so flabbergasted at parts of that, I am dang near to speechless. That sounds like it was so very difficult. Big safe hugs to you.
Thanks for this!

I don't know that I would have such an expectation - I have always dressed as though I was 65 even when I was 21.
I was told the one I hired wore fishnet stockings (she is in her 70's) - I did not notice because I really don't notice clothes on anyone -but I believe the person who told me. The second one wore a lot of free flowing gauzy/linen type garments that were quite low cut (lots of bosom), scarves, and precariously high heeled strappy shoes (I have seen photos of the second one (therapist is her second/other career- I would not remember her clothing on my own either). The second one is older than the first one

Nice pitch black pigment, expression, and ear set for the lab. Was Skelly his breeder?

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Say it ain't so

At least save all the crops for bitter dark chocolate from here to eternity (yes, I know, there's a reason I didn't major in Science post 10th grade).

(Sorry, that headline most definitely calls for punctuation abuse.)

Should it happen overnight:
The year 160: In Rome, the manufacturing of soap containing grease, lime and ashes begins.

So I figure it could be the Squeaky Clean couch, or something like that...

The year and number 160 have pretty sparse Wiki entries...
Thanks for this!

One of the advantages of being 55+ is that it is unlikely I will live long enough to see the reaction of chocolate lovers deprived of their cocoa beans. I picture women from 13-late 40's without chocolate to sooth pms.
It is not a pretty future.

If we consider 160 BC instead of AD, it gets more interesting. Maccabbean Revolt ends (>>Hanukkah), Jugurtha born, etc.

Couch 161 totally has to be named for Marcus Aurelius.
Thanks for this!

@@ you're welcome to do the Couch 160 and definitely 161, if you're able to make couches. If not, just give me the verbiage, and I'll post.

So I am wearing fleece pants, a thermal top, a flannel shirt, & a hooded sweatshirt with the hood on...plus a fleece blanket, and the space heater is on.

Once the cold gets into my bones it takes a LOT of effort to get it out.

You have cats, right? Aren’t they helping you keep warm?

If not, remind them of their commitments under the International Agreement of Cat Contributions to Society.

My calico is on her princessy pillows at the end of the bed. She has two for 11 lbs. of cat. Ridiculous.

They have to live separately because she hates the other one, so my flame point is in one of his cat beds in the bathroom (or maybe his bedroom); it's pretty toasty in there. I am almost envious.

My own cat needs to be reminded. He is not a lap cat. Sometimes he will sleep on ankles - but that is his only concession. Right now he is asleep next to the space heater.
My inherited cat is a glommer.

They just need the magnesium - they will have to make do with nuts and epsom salts.
