Would you want your friends or family know that you are here? Would you ever want your therapist to find your posts?
Does anyone you know in person visit this website?

My therapist knows. I occasionally send him a link to something I've written if it's relevant and sometimes talk about things people have said on here. I doubt he reads anything beyond what I show him. My H also knows but isn't really interested. I've told other people I've been involved with online support forums without specifying which.

My partner, one friend and T know. Only my SO knows which website it actually is though. The first two do not know my username, and I doubt they'd be interested in what I write anyways.

My therapist does not speak English, so I doubt he'd ever look it up.

My therapist knows. I think it helped shed light on where I come up with some of my questions and ideas about therapy that I ask her about.

The only reason I prefer this site is because it is totally anonymous.
My T knows that I use PC but I would never tell her my user name. So in summary, I would not want anyone I know in real life to know that I use this site.

My spouse knows. Everyone else it just hasn't come up. If anyone in my life read my bio or posts here, they would know it was me. I'm very open about my many issues. Its part of who I am. I've said nothing here my friends and family don't already know.

My T knows that I am an avid reader here and sometimes post. I have brought up topics that I saw here on a number of occasions, when it seemed relevant to my own issues. He doesn't know my username but I wouldn't mind if he did.

Only one other person knows I hired a therapist. I cannot imagine why anyone else would be interested in knowing that I post here and as far as I know, no one does. I doubt the woman knows or cares what I post anywhere. I have never posted anything here that I have not or would not say to her.

My H knows I'm on here. My T too. I might have mentioned to family members that I visit forums, but not which one. Neither H nor T know my username, but it wouldn't bother me if they did. I gave ex-T my username name to try to prove to her that I didn't just complain about her.

Nope, haven't mentioned it to anyone. My T does know I post on another forum, including my username there, since I have shared some of my posts. I doubt she'd go look at my other posts... I mean, she'd have to create an account to even see them. I wouldn't be mad if she did since I did share the information, I just don't imagine it would be worth the bother.

My T, my wife, and a few friends know I use a forum for mental health/therapy related stuff. They don't know which forum or username. We'll wife does if she's paid attention to my screen. I don't hide it from her, she just hasn't seemed that interested.

My T seems very supportive of my using this space and we talk often about topics and issues that come up for me in using this space.

Well, my H likes to play detective so it's possible he is snooping but I prefer this to be just my place. If my T read my posts he would probably know it's me so I hope he doesn't.
Therapy room is the place where I can talk about everything else but this is the one place where I can talk about my T

I would never tell family or friends but I have mentioned PC to therapists, most have not taken an interest.

H knows I'm on here, but isn't terribly interested. He is glad that I have an outlet for some of the things I post here, though.

I don't like anyone knowing I post on online forums, I don't know why. I guess I feel ashamed in some way. I only found this one a week or so ago, and haven't seen my T since. I'm not sure if I'll tell her or not, but I definitely wouldn't want her to see my posts.

No way! I like the anonymity, because I can talk about what I need to talk about and no one in real life is going to know about it. It is one of the most beautiful things about this forum. It is part of my self care to come here. If I told people about this place, that would be ruined.

I've shown a few this site, but they wern't that bothered about me posting here. they are usually like, oh, well, that's an interesting site

People know I visit online support forums, one of which in the English language, but not that it is this forum and not my username. However, I don't doubt that if someone who knew me were to read through all my posts, they know it's me in a heartbeat. It'd be a real coincidence otherwise.

I wouldn't want anyone to know. If I complain about my mother or share an annoyance about my T or a fear of my pdoc, I don't want my mother or T or pdoc to read that.

I'm not sure I follow.. PC, and PC posts, do show up in search engine like Google - so they wouldn't have to create an account, would they?

When I wanted to share a poem on PC that I'd also shared with people in real life, I posted it in the Premier Poohbah forum because I was afraid - what if someone enters it into the search engine, finds my post, finds my user name, and reads all my posts?

I've thought my t has read stuff here but he probably hasnt. I don't know of anyone personally knowing me on here. Someone thought I was their neighbor once though!!! There was a poster who I knew irl but I didn't reveal that to them and they aren't active anymore anyway
