I have a T-shirt I wear and it say ... Hit Me ... on the front ... Everyone Else Does ... on the back.

I say things and everyone thinks I'm insulting them even my therapists. I've had five therapist but I drove them all crazy ... They couldn't handle me. Many when they came to see me were on drugs or alcohol ... barely could keep their eyes open. I told them that and they said ... Let me know when I look like that!

Am I that bad. A therapists warning ... don't tell me a single thing about you!

We are supposed to be talking about Me ... anyway

Well... I can't really say much about this. It is true that it can take a while to find the right therapist for you. I haven't had good experiences with therapists myself. In my case, I've always chalked it up to my age. The therapists I've seen were willing to see me because it was their job... or they were in private practice & they wanted the money. But I don't think any of them really thought anything was going to be accomplished. They were just going through the motions.

I've never had a T-shirt like the one you have. But I certainly understand the sentiment. I've sometimes wondered if perhaps other people could smell my vulnerability. Or maybe I've just always been oversensitive. I do think that has been the case. Nowadays I just keep to myself. And I no longer see a therapist. So that has resolved my problems. I hope you find some way of resolving your concerns as well.

I think I'm oversensitive too. I dread going out because I know someone will upset me. I will never see a therapist again too ... unless it's the right one ... She did cure my ED

I don't understand what you mean, that they accused themselves. Can you explain better?

And cigarettes, well if they wanna smoke before a session that's their personal right(and btw I have never, ever seen anyone's teeth turn black after smoking a pack). How do you know it was a full pack anyway?

Oh,and smoking cigarettes doesn't lead to drugs or alcohol....

They accused themselves by saying "if you see my eyes almost closed let me know"

I said OK but try not to drink or take drugs before our session

Saying let me know, isn't admitting or accusing themselves. I think they are trying to pin point which mannerisms you think relates to them on drugs or alcohol.

Im going out on a limb here, I doubt that they are under the influence. Perhaps you think they under the influence because they arent responding to how you'd like in some way. And trying to find a reason.

Sometimes I come off as insulting or blunt. I understand it is in my matter of fact way of speaking. But I try not to accuse people of things, that opens up a can of worms.

It doesn't take a brain surgeon to recognize someone under the influence ... stumbling into the room and almost tipped over her chair when she sat in it. I indulge too ... but not on the job!

Ummm.you were the one that brought up cigarette smoking, not me.

While I believe it's possible to have maybe one use alcohol or drugs on the job I don't believe all of them you have seen have.

For some reason I keep seeing things that remind me of Leonard Cohen...

"I showed my heart to the doctor. He said I'd just have to quit
Then he wrote himself a prescription, your name was mentioned in it
Then he locked himself in a library shelf with the details of our honeymoon
And I hear from the nurse that he's gotten much worse and his practice is all in a ruin"

Sorry, I"m not making light, but - well, yeah, Okay, I guess I"m making light. But I mean well... And it"s Leonard Cohen after all

Thanks for this!

I never touched her but my therapist still said I was sexually harassing her ... guess it doesn't take much these days ... women watch out or you won't get any complements at ALL ... if that's what you want!

That explains the police incident, I'm thinking. Did she really get fired?
