I think she sees between 16 and 20 a week. It is her only job. I know at least 2 of her clients because I referred themm. I have no idea if I know any others. I know she extends sessions for me, but I know she does that for other clients, too.

My T works 4 days a week and sees about 7 a day. He sends numbered invoices, so I can roughly count. I referred two clients, but they are my clients too, and we don discuss ,any of us. I dont feel special to my T, but I do think he is very good. Ibet he gives all clients the same energy and the same limits. I wish he cared a little bit more. I think if I didnt show up, I would just get replaced.

I assume it's his main job. I guess I don't know that for sure. I don't know how many clients he sees weekly - the impression I get is that it's not that many, but I only feel that way because he's so good at remembering who I am and what I say to him. I know he works at a local clinic on Mondays. He's also told me that he sees clients in the mornings and evenings, and does 'other stuff' in-between.
I don't know any of his other clients. I do feel special sometimes, but I wouldn't like to think that he's treating me any differently to anyone else - I wouldn't feel that's appropriate, and it would make me think - if I'm the special one now, what if that changes? He is very accommodating, but I think he must be that way for everyone. |

Therapy is his main job. I don't know how many he sees per week, but he has 2 locations, and he's been doing this for a long time. He says he's had thousands of clients.
I don't get special treatment, but my therapy is tailored to me & my needs. I don't know that I feel "special" in a "better than others" way...I feel special in an "I'm sure each of us is important to him" way. My T is clearly invested and involved. I don't really fret over his other clients' roles in his life much. |

It's his only job. He works 2.5 days a week, two times for 8 hours, one time for 4. I don't know whether he also does his paperwork during that time or not, I assume he has about 10-15 clients at any given time. He can almost always give me extra sessions on the two days that I do not have a session, so I don't think he actually sees a client every hour.
I don't know any other clients, and I'd hate if I did, it would make me far too jealous. I feel special only because he gives me lots of extra sessions and even reschedules me for another day if my usual session day falls on a holiday. I know more or less how much he works, so I am pretty sure he can't do that with everyone. I also feel like most of his clients are more short term, and don't go to therapy for years or need extra appointments twice a month... But I don't think he wouldn't do any of these things for other clients, I just think I'm one of maybe 3 or 4 of his clients that actually need that kind of treatment. |

Yes, therapy is t’s main ft job. I would guess her to see about 20-25 clients a week. I do not know any of her other patients. Since she moved to her new place of practice a couple of months ago, I never see clients before or after my session anymore either. I think she mostly schedules clients every other hour now. I don’t feel special, nor do I want to feel special. T has strict boundaries around out of session contact. Because of the damage caused by my unethical ex-t, t allows me to call her anytime I need to. I don’t really consider that special treatment though. More like meeting me where I’m at, which, makes her good at her job. IMO.

I see my psychiatrist at the hospital where he is the head of the Psychiatry at the College of Medicine. I do know he has a small patient load seeing patients only M,W,F afternoons. I figure three or maybe four an afternoon so perhaps ten a week.

Both of them were semi-retired and only worked 2 or three days a week. The second one has a whole other unrelated career. I have no idea how many clients they saw, but there were always open slots.

Yes, my therapist's private practice is his full time job, though he also does some other work in other settings. I'm not sure how many clients that adds up to--I know he's not taking new patients right now, so whatever number he's currently seeing is his current maximum, and I know he's seen as many as 40 patients at a time in the past on top of having another job, but I think that included some patients for medication management only.
When I realized he wasn't taking new patients, I worried a bit that he'd be too full up to accommodate schedule changes or be otherwise flexible, but that hasn't been the case. I do think I know a couple of his other clients, but I've never 100% confirmed that and don't really care either way. |

This is both T's only job both at this point are only part time and see clients 2 days a week. I have no idea the number of people they see.
I have known of patients long term T has seen but only because they are mutual patients from where I work. I never ran into them at T's and I have no idea of they still see each other at this point. I do not know any of EMDR T's other clients. Long term T and I have seen each other so long that I feel we have a special relationship not that she necessarily treats me better than other client's but that are relationship is at a different level.

I think my current T probably sees about 20-25 people per week. I do not think she treats me differently, and I am not special to her. I was/am to my longtime T because of everything we went through and the many years I saw her.

Honestly, my T was so amazing for me, I was confident in referring my friends because I wanted to share my joy, lol. We actually talk about our sessions together. lol It doesn't bother me, but I can see how it could cause jealousy.

My T sees between 20-25 clients a week; she mentioned that to me once. I don’t think she treats me any differently than any other client. I don’t feel special in any way, nor would I want that.

Yes, my T's main job is being a T. She sees about 10 clients a week. I don't know any of her clients. And I do feel special with her, but I know she treats her clients the same (i.e. allows emails, allows hugs, gives transitional objects, etc).

This is her main job, and according to my calculations, she must have about 30 clients (she uses the term client, not patient) a week, based on a 6 hour/day, 5 days a week schedule.
I found out that I know one of her clients because I saw that they are facebook friends, and this client thanked the therapist on a post, so I assumed that that's how they know each other. However, this client is someone I was acquainted with during my childhood and I never asked her about the T. I don't feel more special, I think. |

My T would not knowingly see somebody she knows I know. She said early on that while she would be flattered if I referred her to somebody she wouldn't want to encounter ant potential conflicts of interest

Both of my Ts do it full time, and both see at least 30 clients a week. I think I do get "special" treatment, but I am sure that I am not the only one. T3 told me to schedule last so that we could go over an hour, and I do that. And we do run over. T1 always works me in if needed, calls/texts and would email, does extended sessions. I know he doesn't do that for everyone, but I am sure he does it for some others.
I have referred people to T1. I'm ok with that. I would refer someone to T3 if I thought it appropriate. I might get jealous of T1, but not T3. |

I don't know how many patients she sees in a week, I only care that it is enough to keep her in business. And I don't think I get special treatment really but there is some accommodation because I have been seeing her for so long.

My t has young children and only works three part-days per week. I would guess she sees 15 people max but more like 10-12.
I don't think she gives m any special treatment. I see her during our well time-managed sessions, and don't have outside contact. |

I do group therapy, and I have no idea how many other clients my T has. I think he does individual and couples' therapy too. I like that I can see him on Saturday.
