Yes^. And in some other states, "psychotherapist" is generic, while "therapist" is not. There is no consistency at the MA level, outside of licensure. At least "psychologist" nearly always means a licensed PhD in a psychology-related field.

Out of the last four therapist two were PsyD jungian analysts. The last two are LMFT, but one has a degree in medicine and the other hasa PhD.
Decades ago I would only do Psychiatrist that were Ivy League trained and wasted a lot of my life. Degrees don’t matter to me anymore as we are a good fit. |
