Yes^. And in some other states, "psychotherapist" is generic, while "therapist" is not. There is no consistency at the MA level, outside of licensure. At least "psychologist" nearly always means a licensed PhD in a psychology-related field.

The T won't need you too much or be intrusive or controlling. She'll let you express yourself and be yourself. Codiscover and encourage your positive parts or traits to foster. Build resilience, not powerlessness. Autonomy and self respect, not dependency.

Phd or psyD optional.

Out of the last four therapist two were PsyD jungian analysts. The last two are LMFT, but one has a degree in medicine and the other hasa PhD.

Decades ago I would only do Psychiatrist that were Ivy League trained and wasted a lot of my life.

Degrees don’t matter to me anymore as we are a good fit.
