I agree they are not literal. I think there is some theory all the characters in dreams are actually parts of the dreamer. Schadenfreude is not something I often think about. In fact, the only time I can remember it coming up was in the musical about puppets that I saw. It was not my favorite musical - I don't know why it was so popular. I don't really like puppets.

Ah, I just saw Jupiter (hadn’t known it was going to be visible all this month and in my post-Blondie state of mild fugue, I decided to stop and pick up food, when I heard a family excitedly taking pictures and showing Jupiter to the little kid.....who seemed rather unimpressed).

We all know MC wasnt a very effective communicator so try not to go by that. I know the thought pattern is hard to change, but it can be done. I’m living proof it can be done. Everyone knows tomorrow is Memorial Day. The therapist chose to work. Go in and don’t feel like a burden. Certainly you can choose to tell him you do feel like one and why. Get it off your chest if you feel need.

Are you the only client he is seeing tomorrow?
I think people make casual offhand comments without it being all that big of a deal to them. I can see saying I wish I was bbqing in my backyard rather than working - it does not mean I don't enjoy teaching.
Therapists can take care of themselves.

LT: He just wants to talk about it in session, as it is a serious topic (and he doesn't generally like to do therapy over e-mail). If he chose to go in tomorrow, that is his choice.

PS: Part of being a T is talking about this stuff. You are not the first client that has brought these thoughts into his office.
Thanks for this!

I wish my therapist would just decide already if he's working tomorrow or not. Even when we spoke today he didn't seem sure. Just decide already! He's supposed to let me know tomorrow morning via email. I have a feeling we won't be meeting.

I didn't know that. And I'm surprised.

In Christchurch, there are some whose ancestors "came on the first four ships". I don't think that is correlated with wealth, however.

This insult-apology-ask business is a standard pick-up routine. Pretty sleasy if you ask me.

Also - anyone have a go at dream interpretation? This is the first time the first one has ever showed up in the dream openly -usually she has been behind a door or in shadows or over the phone or it was not her and neither of us realized we did not know the other for awhile.
Maybe you are forgiving her?

I dreamed about Ebony last night, in the dream the vet put her to sleep like he did for real but I brought her home and she woke up and started running around the house with Tigger and I phoned the vet again and had to take her back in again for them to do it again, it's guilt tripping me again now about whether it was the right thing to do (I know it was cause she was suffering and the vet couldn't do anything) maybe it's Ebony's way of telling me I did the wrong thing and she wants to be back with Tigger

Just had a spinach smoothie for breakfast. It had non fat Greek Yogurt, banana, mango, spinach and unsweetend almond milk. I seriously need to start adapting a healthier lifestyle. I guess it started with that smoothie this morning. Now how to convince myself that it will keep me full? Because I really wanted a whole big breakfast.
