Could be! He did say he was having trouble ending his sessions on time that day. Maybe it was a "session." (Ew, hopefully not on the couch where I sit!)

Do you mean by caring, that you think he "likes" likes you, as the kids say? It seems to me, he is saying his opinion is that, if H has not changed, its not a good idea.

You would all fail my seminar. And I do not allow extra credit.
I might even consider tracking down your high school english teachers to let them know they also failed.

That would be him literally bringing his stuff into the room! Thats a whole other can of worms. Next time ask him when the last time was he had the couch cleaned. (Or choose a different seat to be on the safe side) lol.

No, of course not. That idea is laughable. He's said he cares about me. His words not mine. I equate caring with not wanting the person you care about to do things that are not good for them. My relationship was not a good thing for me and I would think that anyone who cares would think it would not be a good thing to go back to it.

Were I still in school for the year, these quotation shenanigans might bother me, but I am technically unemployed. Carry on, "couch."

I'm having a HSG test done in 2 hours. I'm scared both of the procedure and the results.

I’m exempt though, right‽ I was just translating into the local lingo so the natives would understand me.

I was covering a shift as a hotel security guard last weekend. At 3:30 in the morning I had to knock on a door and tell the two drunken "gentlemen" in the room to stop screaming at each other about Joe Biden as it was disturbing the other guests. I have to write a narrative report on any guest contact I make so I wrote that they were screaming at each other about Joe Biden and then inserted an interrobang. My boss mentioned that was the most emotion I ever put in a report. I try to just stick to unemotional facts but this was so strange.

Good luck i was going to have one many many years ago for informational purposes (were my tubes blocked?), but then the gyno said a side effect was increased fertility, and i said never mind then.

Joe Biden is screaming material? Who knew?

On wedding rings, I don’t know how long before people stop wearing them. I didn’t wear mine into my first surgery (no jewelry), which 2ex did not deign to attend, and then when the ventilator broke and it all went to hell and he wasn’t there to help, I never put it back on again. And that was a month or two before I ended things.

I thought I was going to get through the summer without another therapist vacation since my T was gone for 11 days in the beginning of May, but no dice. Ten days to two weeks in August. She said she might be able to do phone sessions depending on licensing stuff, but argh. Stop going out of town!

Scarlet, did your doctor tell you to take any ibuprofen ahead of time? I was instructed to take three of them like a half hour before. I didn't find the procedure very painful at all, and it's nice to get the results in real time. Hoping it goes well for you!

I was very perplexed about the passion behind the Joe Biden screaming. Of course, alcohol never makes my job easier.

I've been married many years and I do not wear a wedding ring anymore. It's beautiful but it gets in the way when I'm working. Honestly, I never even notice if others are wearing one.

Today I brought something up about PC in session, then said I guess I shouldn't use any names. T: "Don't worry, I can 1,000% promise you I will never go on PC." Me: "Probably for the better. It would either be really enlightening or really frightening, seeing so many people talking about therapy." T (laughing): "I'm not going to take that chance."

I sometimes think Ts would learn a little from coming on here (though not if their clients are on here; I see that as a bit of an invasion of the client's space)

Assuming that the therapist knows their client is on PC, that is. I've discussed PC in therapy on occasion, but I'm the abstract versus mentioning the name of the forum. For most therapists, I'd agree that it'd be educational.

My T told me that too. I hope it's true. She says that a lot of people get pregnant a month after having it done. Like it helps clear out the tubes.

I've used the forum name, but he seems unable to remember it. And he keeps calling it a "listserv," which suggests he doesn't spend much time on forums and things (he's not much older than me and seems fairly computer-savvy).
