I began crying, me calling made it worse. How come she isn't there? she told me she'd be there for 2 days. Maybe its a different hospital? I have a good feeling that she is fine! If she just had surgery yesterday and she said she might be able to see you next week, then she probably had surgery that didn't require her to be in the hospital very long. They move people out of the hospital SO fast these days. My hubby had open-heart surgery and was out in 4 days!
She is probably home resting right now, watching her fave tv show and having a snack. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Dustin: don't drive yourself crazy with thoughts that may not ever come to fruition. When I had my Hysterectomy, it wasn't all that cut and dry. I had to come down off the pain meds, and that can sometimes takes DAYS, to do. Especially if she got morphine! That alone, throws you for a loop. Depending on how she feels and her level of pain management would have been a deciding factor in letting her go home. I was in the hospital for five days, but then I had a bladder tack, and a second operation on my left breast at the time. So that may have something to do with my stay. However: recovery is very slow for some people, and given her age... 45?, well, even a Hysterectomy can knock you down no matter what condition you're in!!!! You must give her some TIME to heal, and not rush her to come back to work. I have the feeling that that's not going to happen. Even if they did a vaginal hysterectomy, she has stitches inside her that need to heal. And she'd be very SORE to sit up any length of time. I do not know how she thinks she'll be up and around that soon. It took me SIX weeks to recover from it all. Besides that, you can't move around alot for several weeks after you have a hysterectomy anyway. It takes just about six weeks to fully recover. So, you just might have to hang in there a bit? You don't want her to push herself too soon Dustin. That would not be good for her at all. Maybe her husband has something to do with that too? He's taking care of her. Anyway, I've told you what my experience was, and that;s the truth, not as I know, but as I LIVED it!!! I'd be real surprised if she came back to work that soon? Take care. Give her time to heal. Email her and tell her you're thinking of her. That's all. She will appreciate that at this time. |

A lot of hospitals will say that the person is not there if you aren't a relative or someone that the patient has given permission for them to disclose information to. Everyone has confidentiality rights, including therapists. I'm sure that she is just fine.

Have you called her message/answering service and left a message? Does she have someone on call whom you can call for information, or to at least get a message to her?
I agree with Rapunzel, unless someone is on the list, they can't even acknowledge that they are in their hospital! (((hugs)))
