Thank you. I'm really struggling these days. Have been for months. No, years.

T now knows I know about the lawsuit, and I do now know it IS former clients (a couple) who have started it. Because of this, my T is quitting seeing clients at the end of the year. She said she may continue to see me for a limited time, just to help me through weaning off my addiction recovery medication.

Ugh, that sounds really difficult, especially to know it's former clients and that she'll stop seeing clients at year's end. How are you handling it? Hugs...
Thanks for this!

I stopped viewing myself as a damaged soul requiring renovation, and that my deviation from the mainstream even could be advantageous. I lost much of my anxiety simply by aging and proving my own competence. And I learned that everyone else has insecurities, failings and suffers unfairness.

Best wishes, whatever road you choose.

I'm really sad about this.... I will be quitting therapy at that point. No more therapists for me... I joined PC RIGHT before I started seeing her. Someday I'll go through all my old posts to read all of the things I had to say over the last four years. Everything was good until about 9 months into therapy. It's been a rocky road since. But I will miss her terribly. Just something awful. As much hurt she has caused, I cannot imagine not having her sessions twice a week, or at the other end of an Email. This is going to be brutal...I know that already.

9 good months out of 4 years is not a lot, but I'm sure a lot to reel you in. I am sorry it has come to this, you deserve more

This has got to be so hard, Musing. I'm glad you know the reason behind it is your therapist's own bad behavior. It was never about you. It was always her. I hope after this is over, you can get your old, sweet self back--the you that was before you met her and fell down the rabbit hole she created.
Thanks for this!
