Aw, I think ice cream is good for the soul.
The body knows when you need it, and it processes ice cream differently when it's for soul-soothing! I mean, I'm not a scientist, but... that's gotta be right. Right??
Thanks for this!

Is anyone else watching the bachelor/ette/in paradise/etc? It's the most mindless, ridiculous thing, but my daughters got us into it, and my wife and I continue to watch it. We justify it as "another way to connect with the kids" as if it's a family service... but we're totally hooked.

Also, it's all these kids being young and vulnerable and trying to find love in such contrived ways, but they're so hopeful, they overlook the weirdness of it all. There's something endearing in its silliness.

Madame T says that a therapist should be "up for being hated".

(And I agree with her on this one.)

Wild philosophical speculation:
Hatred is the most basic of all human emotions. Fear, anger, grief and love are mere facets of it.

And leaving out the word not can get you kicked out of a restaurant in a foreign country where you don’t know the language well and you tell the proprietor after his rant on the US invading Iraq: “we do [not] like the war.”

I saw something creepy last night where 7 "ladies" came out in "swimwear" and said stuff to a guy behind a light screen. It was hosted by that reeeeeeeeaaaallllllyyyyy cute football player who does daily mail tv? I had to stop watching after he made his first cut.

Well, feh. That was a waste of an “I can eat anything I want” day.

I indulged in a plain bagel with peanut butter on it and a lemon poppyseed muffin.

Bagels are just too much bread for me, although we have a local grocery store chain that has a sandwich counter and I've discovered that a toasted garlic bagel with cream cheese, avocado, and tomato with salt and pepper is a really fulfilling breakfast.

I’m amusing myself with thoughts of my five former therapists in the area, plus Info, forming a support group. Heck, Smaug too.

Mmmmmm.

All the talk of ice cream leaves me cold (get it? ha!) but the idea of a bagel with fresh tomato and fixin's makes me hungry.

I have so many tomatoes coming on right now that I am eating tomatoes with salt and pepper for every meal. Yellow tomatoes, red tomatoes, pink tomatoes, orange tomatoes. Tomato on toast with an egg for breakfast, or on a bagel. Tomatoes and bread and cheese for lunch. Tomatoes sliced with dinner. Cherry tomatoes for a snack.

Yesterday, I took a bunch of tomatoes to work and gave them away, then came home and made tomato jam.

Homegrown tomatoes, homegrown tomatoes, Nothin' in the world like homegrown tomatoes....
