So I present myself to T today. All buzzing and happy and feeling cured, well if not cured, willing to put my past in a pile to the side and continue my life!! Accept T says she feels I am going through mania right now and maybe its not so simple as me feeling cured and able to continue my life without T...DAM!!! Now my ears and head are ringing..

Yeah, T doesn't end that simply/easily and you don't get to pile all the stuff off to the side and ignore it the rest of your life. It doesn' go anywhere, have to keep rearranging and get it all stored back inside yourself; your stuff, no littering the highway :-)

I love that part of mania! I understand what your T is saying, but why does she have to rain on your parade? Of course, don't quit seeing your T now. But, enjoy the feeling while it lasts! And deal with the rest when it comes back. I'm sorry if this is horrible advice! I enjoy a respite from depression and think others should too.

When you are feeling good, enjoy it! I don't get the connection between feeling good and quitting therapy. Why did your T think that?
