Me too! What gets me is people who pronounce Illinois as Illinoise. The s is silent.
Thanks for this!

I have trouble saying words with "r's" in them. Particularly if it starts with an "r" Sometimes I have trouble with "s" and "th" and "k" and "l" yellow in my case is lellow. I can't think of anything former T said funny though. I say whilst frequently and she thought that was funny. Kit.

And ten years of speech therapy didn't help the "r's" I guess they sound like "w's" I can't hear the difference.

I think it might be a London accent? 'Igg-zacly' or 'egg-zacly' ?

Interesting nuances. My T has an accent that's different to mine. I find it comforting and reassuring, and I think maybe I am slightly more drawn to people with this particular accent because it has a nice and safe connotation now for me.

Funny, I had to say "existential" to hear myself say it...even though I say "eggs-act-ly," I say the "x" in "ex-istential."

Words are fun.

To me if my tutors would just remember it is about existence and it begins "exist" they wouldn't have a problem. I don't know what they think "exsist" is supposed to mean.
