I just had to lead the second half of a conference call (while also taking notes). I'm *so* bad at leading them! Let alone while also keeping track of what people are saying. At least it's just a volunteer thing (nonprofit board), so I presumably can't be fired!

An unnamed couch, now I don't know what kind of pillows to post. I guess we're stuck with these generic pillows.

That's really good! And you're not a bad driver if your power steering went out. It's hard to steer when it goes out on you. I've experienced that very recently.
Thanks for this!

I asked my therapist to listen to the recording I made for my dad today. After he listened he said "I know you don't look at me, but I'm tearing up right now." I guess it was a good decision to share it with him.

Anyone can paint honestly. Its a matter of finding the right teacher and finding what you enjoy painting. I cant paint people or landscapes, mainly because i am colourblind, so i just dont do it. I like seascapes and space paintings.

Well, the one not-terrible thing about the last month was that I did decently enough on the stupid effing board exams I took last month. 85th percentile--good enough for me, at least.

In "oh right everything is terrible" news, I'm taking next week off b/c the depression is eating my soul to death.

I credit the painting for my recent calmness. I am not displaying nearly a much self destructive behaviours and my mind is a fir bit calmer.

Earlier this summer I tried to reduce my Wellbutrin dose from 300 mg to 150 mg. Couldn’t hack it, went back up.

But during my pneumonia bout a couple weeks ago, I finished a bottle of the 300 mg and grabbed a nearly full bottle of Wellbutrin in the medicine cabinet, thinking it was also 300 mg. Nope—saw today it was 150 mg. So I’m on 150 mg at last, and there weren’t even any side effects (or they were masked by pneumonia).

I am very happy about this. The fewer meds in my body, the better.

Same here. And I just had the Genesight test done to see if my genetics suggest that certain meds would be better for me than others. I was hoping it would provide a sort of "proof" that I've had negative (psychological and/or physical reactions to so many meds. And it did flag for Abilify and Prozac (which I've had negative reactions to), most of the others came out as being "use as directed." I did have a couple genetic mutations that suggested I might need lower doses of certain meds, which rings true, but then another said I'd need higher doses of, I think, Lamictal, which I reacted poorly to.

So...I'm not sure I really learned anything from it. It's not the panacea I'd hoped it would be. But it's still a fairly new test, and I imagine there are lots of genes involved in how we process meds that haven't been studied yet.
Thanks for this!

I think a higher dose of a med can work better and have fewer side effects than a lower dose of the same med, actually.
Thanks for this!
