Perhaps. If nothing else, I certainly do not think GP is any better than I am.
I have had cupping done. Hard to know if it helped or not since I was doing a bunch of different things to recovery from my cycle accident.

My idiot "friends" (fellow residents) are at a wedding I couldn't make myself go to. They know I didn't go because my depression is kicking my butt.

They're now sending me pictures of themselves having fun at the wedding.

Um, insensitive much? Wtf is wrong with these people??

((Chihiro))—maybe they are trying, however awkwardly, to make it feel like you’re there, too, and they are thinking of you?

This new medication is kicking my ***. I feel so wiped out. And hungry. So, so hungry. I'm never full. Are there prescription hunger suppressants? I feel like I need one.

There is a prescription called phentermine that acts as an appetite suppressant and can promote weight loss but it’s not a magic pill. You have to do the work and eat healthy and exercise.

Hey quick recipe help. Fresh broccoli and cauliflower at 450 in the oven, is 20 minutes too long?

Stressed, that sounds about right. I usually cook mine around 400, so at 450 maybe start checking around 15 min?

Sounds yummy! I love roasted veggies.

I have failed you. I hang my head in shame. I realize that these are only paltrow sentiments in comparison to the great wrong I have done you.

Will that do?

Psychiatrists just push drugs. They don't pretend to have any empathy.

i was really lucky with the pdoc i saw. he did prescribe meds of course and i believe that i needed them at the time and they saved my life in those very very dark days when i first started seeing him. but he was also always, always suggesting strongly that i add talk therapy into my treatment plan he believes that it takes both avenues. i resisted it for a long time before finally calling current t. at the time the only t's there in his location were all male and i refused to see a male t. odd how i never minded a male pdoc.

I like my psychiatrist. She talks to me for half an hour each time I see her. And meds have helped me far more than therapy has. But I know some psychiatrists only see patients for like a 5 minute med check.
Thanks for this!

I do eat healthy and exercise, but this new medication is making me a hungry hippo. I don't know how to describe it except to say that I've never felt this hungry in my life. I can totally see why it's used to help people gain weight, I just don't want to be one of those people!

On the way home this afternoon, we talked a little about going to the theater, and dancer son's friend asked "What is Hamlet? Is that...Shakespeare?" It was sweet, the way he said it, like he wasn't sure and he wasn't sure if we'd laugh at him for not knowing. Then he asked what is the story?

I said stuff about ghosts and a murdered king and revenge and betrayal and poison and a jilted girlfriend and madness. Then everyone dies. It's a pretty awesome story. I think I did a pretty good sell. Maybe he'll track it down and watch it sometime.

I hate selling stuff online. You have to wait for pm's and facebook is playing up and people on Gumtree are very wary. I dont have enough stuff for a garage sale or else i would.

ouch! i am so talented. i just tried to move a desk a couple inches so I could grab the extension cord behind it. said desk was one son had built from a box maybe a year or so ago. anyway upon sliding it a couple inches it completely fell apart (!) and one of the side pieces fell over before I could catch it and a corner landed on my middle toe. this thing completely fell apart, except the one drawer support that son put a screw in because the assembly was so poor the drawer fell out once. Both drawers were full of stuff so now all the stuff is strewn around my foyer where the desk is now laying in pieces among all the papers, pens, pencils, erasers, batteries, etc. and my toe hurts dang it! what a mess.

h called just before that happened he's out on a job and they gave him another one he's going to Ontario, CA (I think that's the LA area maybe?) will probably spend the night somewhere before he drives back home. That's a fer piece right there. So I have the evening/night to myself to clean up the mess. Maybe I'll get ambitious and get out the drill and some screws and put the thing back together in a more sturdy fashion....
