I saw T tonight. We have two sessions left now.

A while back I made him a piece of embroidery, a cross-stitch of a tree. I've been dancing around giving it to him for a while, really anxious about it. When I first brought it up (without showing him, or even telling him what it was), and asked him if he'd accept it, he said he wasn't sure, and asked for some time to think about it. I pretty much took that as a no, and I was upset, but it turned out that he decided he would accept it after all.

I finally managed to summon up the courage to give it to him today. He made a sort of surprised noise, like "...oh...!", and then he said thank you a lot... said that he was really moved by it (and asked if I could make eye contact with him so I could see that - I did)... and said that he would like to keep it in that room. He said he could see how much time and effort and work had gone into it. He really appreciated it.

I sat there the whole time smiling the biggest smile possible, blushing so much that my cheeks were burning. It was exactly how I had hoped it would be in my head, how I had imagined it.

It's made me so happy that I can't even feel the sadness of having to leave him right now. I'm sure it'll come back soon...
