Hi All,
My T is pregnant so we will be wrapping up therapy in about 4 months. I am freaking out quite a bit. I’ve been seeing T for almost 4 years and do not feel ready to end. I want to try and make the most of the time we do have left, and T is on board. She is great we discussed this today. Looking for advice on things that might help in the process. How did things do when you ended therapy? |

Its a difficult process. (((hugs))) I had to stop seeing my former T after 10 years because she got MS. I used part of the time to look for another therapist while still seeing my former T or talking with her on the phone. And part of the time I spent going over all the things I had learned and how I had grown. Basically looking at all the good stuff. The therapy kind of stopped and it became more "support" than therapy because she wasn't up for it. But that might not be the same in your case. It was tough. I still miss her every day even though I have a new T. I hope your ending will be positive. (((hugs)))

When I ended a previous therapy relationship, we talked about the separation every week for a few weeks. Is that something that you could see yourself doing?
Is she coming back after maternity leave? |

Yes, that is what I’d like to do. I only see T every three weeks so there’s limited time. I am considering asking T if we can have more frequent sessions in the new year. She will go back but plans to move practices. She has said I am welcome to see her again in the future. |
