I’m so sorry. I wish she would have given you more context..like hey..I’m in a tough spot financially myself.. and maybe talk around that..but to just say you will have to go elsewhere is very cold. I mean..I get it..she’s a professional providing a service and wants to be compensated accordingly. But to just tell a long term client..no..you have to elsewhere is just a very cold response.

Home with a cold that I am certain I caught either from my fellow residents or from one of the six kazillion patients who came in with it over the last two weeks. I know it sounds silly to stay home with just a cold but holy heck--I was up all night blowing my nose and coughing and got only about an hour of uninterrupted sleep. (Also all I'm missing is neurology clinic and we're not necessary there so I feel a little less bad -- at least no one has to come in to cover for me.)

I dreamed last night that my mom was angrily berating me for not getting winning lottery numbers from L before we ended therapy. Weird, man.

I had to ask my sister (who is 20) to come and watch my kids today so that I could have a full day working on my uni work. My house was a tip. When I got home, not only had she entertained and made pancakes with the kids, she had somehow enlisted them to help tidy and clean my kitchen. It's spotless. It's made me so happy! I don't need anything else for Christmas.

Oh, yay! This is silly but I was checking on my patients from home and found out that my patient has a simple problem (intestinal parasites) instead of a mysterious and potentially scary one (weird blood tests).

It's the little things in life

Hi all couchies. It's donut day at work today. I don't have much work to do today. I helped out my supervisor this morning with some of her work-load and now I'm surfing PC and seeing what's up. What's everyone up to today? Tomorrow I travel to my sister's with my parents. Yeah (sarcasm). 6 hours in an RV. Yeah (sarcasm). Not looking forward to it that much. But hopefully once I get there I will be more in the spirit of things. Kit.

I have a tooth that’s been causing me a bit of trouble but this week the dentist said it looked okay for now, but I’m anxious about it especially since the dentist will be closed until the middle of next week. It’s the same feeling I have when I get on a plane and they shut the doors and you know you can’t get off anymore.

It’s probably mostly me channeling all my Christmas anxiety into something physical. I get to see T today so I am hoping we can defuse it a little bit.

My son stopped by to pick up his mail and visit a little. I miss my boy! It was good to see him.

Last day of school today before D is off for 11 days straight, and H is either off or working from home either day. Plus family holiday stuff. In other words, fun times ahead for this introvert who needs lots of alone time...

Wish me peace...my middle son is heading to the DMV to take his test for his learner's permit.



I can't decide which freaks me out more: the idea of having two teen drivers in the house, or the idea of paying car insurance for two teen drivers.
