Couch 185: The Labyrinth

The best thing about the sort of law I practice/area I teach in, is that I did not have to pretend to be a kindergarten teacher or a social worker.
Been breaking bad news to students today.

I love the image of a dung bettle post master, is the mail delivered in a dung ball?

Not that I know of. I don't really know what the point of the dung ball is - if any. So far all I have is the postmaster seal or something like that that was at the start of the game.

A dung beetle postmaster? How...odd.

I have a proper buzz going. Thank you for paying for the 4 cosmopolitans at the bar, mom. They were nice and strong too.

I have a stupid problem: at the last minute (i.e. today), I was told that I actually have tomorrow off. But I didn't plan anything to do because I thought I'd be working. Now what the heck am I supposed to do? All of my local friends are either working (many of them are also residents) or out of town visiting family or whatnot.

I mean I guess I could bring food to my buddies who are working? Though I have a cold so I don't know if anyone wants to eat anything I've touched. (Then again, I caught the damn cold from my fellow residents so it's not like I'm patient zero here...)

I feel kind of pathetic tbh

I thought there was a bar in here somewhere already. Weren’t we just talking about posting and drinking at the same time? Surely that means there’s alcohol somewhere around....

Oh, for Pete’s sake...

Oh, there is a bar. And I’m tending it tonight. Did I mention all drinks are on the house? Orders up!

My teacher would always go to The Cheesecake Factory because nothing else was open. Could be nice.

My kids like the ultimate smash game. I just asked, and that’s their favorite.

I need them to come tell me the point of it.

I hope once you learn the games you are able to enjoy it. Those systems are like 300 bucks! Wish someone would have got me one! It would certainly keep me occupied.

I am enjoying messing around with it. And I am looking forward to playing the racing game with others - I know I will like that.
But it is a bit like therapy to me - I would not describe my experience with the games like others do - just like I would not describe therapy like people here do. The story lines and so on don't do much of anything for me.

The original Hallmark movie, “It’s a Wonderful Life,” is on tonight.

I'm sorry for being a maudlin patoot earlier. Ever since I woke up this morning I've been on the verge of tears for whatever reason i dunno what's wrong with me and after work h took me out and bought me margaritas and now i'm feeling better and we're watching willie wonka on tv

Well, it's 1.40am and we might finally get to go to bed having navigated sleepless children who appear to have an elaborate tag team operation in process. No doubt they will be awake at the crack of dawn too. Hoo bloody ray.

Yeah, well, they're not super great at explaining the point of any of the games they play. Either that or I just don't get it. One of those.
