Speaking of Dianne Wiest, I love that show Life in Pieces. I think she's a therapist in that, too...

Edit: This Paul dude is ****ed up.
Thanks for this!

My sister got me a PS4 as an early birthday present over the weekend. She is the best. I wish she lived here. She's convinced she's going to have to take a job out of state, too.

That is too bad. Any chance for a drop rush end of the week - beginning of next week as they start adjusting to the new semester?

I also like Yarnspirations.com. Right now I’m working on this one: Bernat Crochet Buffalo Plaid Afghan | Yarnspirations. I’m doing it in a yellow and black rather than red because it’s for my son who wants a Hufflepuff inspired blanket. LOL!
Thanks for this!

Also, it could have been Hanks's or Hanks'. Either is correct (I thought it was the former for singular and the latter for plural, but learned either is fine last semester in English).

I tried reconnecting with an old friend, seemed off to a good start, but now he's already ignoring texts and changed his mind on meeting up this week AFTER I took the day off work... oy vey... however I went in with low expectations anyway. My life is such a joke

That's cool! I'm not good at using different color yarns. I don't know how to connect two yarns together. And I only know how to make blankets and scarves. I want to learn how to make baby caps next!

UGH. My flex spending claims is driving me CRAZY.

Most of it went through, but I submitted two sets of two identical claims, with identical documentation except for the dates, obviously. One set was for the copays for separate visits to the same doctor, for example, with identical receipts. On each set, they accepted one claim and denied the other for insufficient documentation.

Saw my oncologist today. Surgery scheduled for February 4. Good news; it can be done robotically through several small incisions rather than requiring an open abdominal surgery.

The nurse didn't want to approve my paperwork requesting leave for the whole semester so I hope the doctor signs off on it. At my university, they really don't know what to do for faculty who take part of a semester off for sick leave--what are they going to do, have me teach part of a course?--so they prefer that we take the whole semester off. Fortunately I have enough sick time to do that. Now I just need the doctor's signature.

I'm really in a weird mindset today and especially this evening. T was trying to give me credit for doing all that I do despite what's going on...I get up, get kids ready for school, go to appointments. Like I should get a gold ***** star for that. It doesn't mean **** to me that I'm still doing those things when I feel like this.
