Found a therapy app that I tried out last night when I couldn't sleep:

Youper

It was somewhat useful, though I only used it for 5 minutes. Maybe others here would be interested. It's not limited to mindfulness as far as I could tell.

It has high ratings so the software functionality is better than some other apps.
Thanks for this!

What does it do for you?

It helped me identify emotions I'm struggling with by prompting me to explore. Then it helped narrow down what emotion I wanted to focus on that was problematic. It then chose the ohm chant to help calm me. Interestingly, I've been playing that same sound lately to help me sleep. So it seemed intuitive to me.
Thanks for this!

I just checked it out and got extremely inrritated. I am in intense grief over my mother’s recent passing so I seek any support I can get and this thing just won’t work. I wanted to cuss it out. Lol

It’s a chatbot like Replika. Interesting but pretty sure Black Mirror did an episode on this kind of tech lol

Figures, I'm drawn to something potentially very triggering to me.

I think I'll go back to the Ativan for now. Nothing else seems to help calm things including shopping all day yesterday.

Thanks for mentioning that. Who knows what will be done with all this data collected. Like Facebook, apps are data collection and surveillance mechanisms, and I can imagine what that Black Mirror episode is about and am too scared to watch it.

I did download the app and played with it a bit. There is a part where they ask if it is ok if anonymous data is collected for a research project. You do have the option to decline which I did. It seems it might be helpful as a mood tracker

It was interesting. Im going to use it fo maybe a week or two and then probably completely forget about it but... like the concept.

Wish it screened for more things though. But I guess anxiety and depression is just more common and relatable. Just stinks feeling I guess overlooked/too sick
