My T just left 7 Cups today and let me tell you there is officially a big hole in my heart! I know she wasn’t an OCD specialist, but I still loved talking to her. I could tell her anything, and even if she never always understood me she always accepted me for who I was- something which people rarely seem to do. I guess she was sort of like a guardian angel. Just thinking about her just sort of makes me cry and feel depressed. Sorry, I just needed to let it all out!

So sorry, Danii. I think sometimes these therapists don't appreciate how important they are to us.

So sorry- it is a huge bow. I think they should all have to reread The Little Prince yearly, bc they do bear responsibility for those they encourage to trust them.

Thank you all so much!! ❤️ Yeah, I know I’ll be with another T soon at some point, but I don’t want to jump straight into another T’s office (in person or online) just now. I don’t think I can even bear to go on 7 Cups anymore as going on there and seeing all her messages gone could just be too painful. That place is truly dull and empty without her!

She told me a month before that she was planning on leaving 7 Cups as she couldn’t write as many messages as she used to as she is now a university professor and runs her own private clinic, so it wasn’t like she just quit out of the blue thank god! But I still miss her! And it just hurts knowing that I no longer have anyone I can just happily talk to about any issue anymore!

You couldn't by chance interact with her over the internet, through her own practice?

No, there isn’t. I don’t think she would even be up for any therapy over the internet nowadays considering her time schedules! XD

I was thinking of Googling her and finding out any kind of website she has so I can maybe email her one day to give her updates about myself.

Maybe you should just ask for her email if that's what you want to do.

Well, just found my T’s website (and so many things about her online XD). I may message her someday at some point, though I think now is too soon.

I also thought about adding her on social media but I don’t think I want her finding out about my real identity so soon either!!!! XDDD

It really made me feel so much better finding out all these things about her. Maybe I can still be close by to her through liking one of her pages and stuff.

She might block you if you like her stuff on social media or try to be FB friends. So if that would be hurtful, best not.

Really!? 😳 But the thing is she does not know my real name nor does she know what I look like. Do you really think that if I like her page for example that she will take a look at my profile and immediately realize somehow that it’s me!? 😭

How does she not know your real name if she was your therapist on 7cups? Aren't they required to gather that information for liability purposes?

7 Cups is supposed to be an anonymous service. It is strictly forbidden to disclose any personal information about yourself to therapists or listeners. Yeah, there is a liability agreement where you have to give out your real name and address- but the therapist or listener doesn’t get to see that unless (and only unless) you are a danger to yourself or others.

I suspect it would be OK to like her page (I assume it's a professional page?) But if she doesn't know you, I doubt she'd accept a friend request. Well, I mean, maybe some people accept friend requests from anyone. I could see that happening more on LinkedIn (if she's on there) than Facebook.

Yeah, she has a professional page on Facebook. I might consider liking that. Maybe I won’t add her on Facebook 😜, I don’t want to risk her finding out that it’s me and blocking me! 😂

Tee hee, just found out she also has an Instagram (that’s not set to private) but she doesn’t have any photos on it. Do you think this would be a good green light for me to follow her? 😜🙈🙊
