So yesturday was my final session with my psychologist. It was a very confusing session I guess because it has been a tough few months for him and also me. I finally get to see a new therapist sooner then i thought so thats really nice.

He was going to close my file and not let me continue on, i went to my family doctor and everything got worked out in the last month. Im very happy to finally have this put behind me and now i can really focus on my goals with the new therapist.

I also get to stay in day program it is more then just going to a program it's a way for me get out of house and socialize with others who have simaliar issues. It was important to me to keep going with out that part i feel so lost. Almost everyone who goes to day has been going for years. There is also cooking class every week and i do enjoy that very much.

So now life has turned back to normal just a new therapist thats all. I haven't been happy with my previous therapist in the last year so saying good bye was not very hard at all, it was upsetting it was a tough session though

I'm sorry to hear it was a tough session. I wonder why he thought it was his place to make decisions about what you need after he leaves. I hope the new therapist works out well and it sounds like staying in the day program will be really beneficial.

I think you did a great job advocating for yourself and I'm happy that you were able to find a new therapist. Glad it wasn't hard to say good bye to the old one, not surprising. Good luck with moving forward.

Thankyou everyone for all your support. I think it was my doctor who helped me stay calm in the present. Now im just waiting to hear back from the clinic for a appointment to be set up with the new therapist. I am so glad it's done with the pyschologist it got very messy in the last year and a half. I feel like i didn't even make any progress in the last year, my anxiety of the fear of my file being closed was there. Now that i am done i can get down to work again.
