It really doesnt matter which one, the larry darryl darryl one, or the psychiatrist one - hes so affable.

Eta - dishes are ALL washed, for the first time in months i think. Its weird. My gp acts like im in danger of imminent death (i think?), but it seems like my miserable life just goes on, week after week, month after month, year after year.

'Tis the season (unseasonably early!), you're all invited to mine for s'more s'mores! If I make it a potluck, maybe @@ will bring us a peach pie???

We roasted hot dogs for dinner with our exchange students and made s'mores for dessert. Our new student was delighted by the experience. My hair smells like the campfire.

Campfire shampoo would be awesome.

Premade gf pie crusts do not hold together well. I will have to make my own in the future. Starting to realize why my gf sister bakes so much.

I started my summer garden today: Tomatoes, sunflowers, cucumbers, pumpkin, marigolds, zucchini, peppers. I am telling myself that it's a win-win...if I keep the house, I'll have my garden; if I have to sell the house, the garden will look nice when we show and will bring joy to the next owners.

I've spent a fair amount of time and energy today focusing on feeling not-bitter.
And I planted a couple of the tomatoes in pots so I can take a bit of my garden with me.

Peach crisp? I make crisps more often than pie because it's faster. Also because I cannot crimp a pie crust all pretty to save my life. I don't know why it's so hard???? It looks like it should be easy, but my fingers just don't have the knack or the patience or something.

I wonder if gf flour would work ok for the butter/nut/oat crisp topping? Looks like most of the gf peach crisp recipes that popped up with a quick google use almond flour.

I suppose there's that. I kinda like the 'my neighbour is trying to poison me' theory. Also fruit and veggies are strangers to my diet.

Welp so much for being vegetarian. My healing body quite demanded a hamburger today which I ate for dinner and it was delicious. I hadn't eaten a hamburger since 7/4/18. I know I could have opted for a veggie burger but that's not what my body wanted. Oh well! Tomorrow is a new day and I will read up on what nutrients I might be missing that made my healing body crave red meat.

Oh and I wrote my extra credit report earlier and got it turned in. So that's good. Mostly i rested again today. I may go stir crazy not working til the 27th but then again I can't yet sit upright for more than a couple hours at a time without feeling sore and worn out. At least it's just soreness now, I don't consider it pain anymore. Except when I cough, that still hurts. And it's hard to sleep at night cuz I can't lay in bed yet, tried today and it hurts if I roll over on either side. The chair I'm sleeping in prevents rolling over. I miss sleeping next to h. But all in all I'm feeling better and know I'm on the mend. Recovering from gall bladder surgery 16 years ago was easier. Both because I was younger, plus I was in the hospital for 4 days and they were giving me demerol the whole time I was in there after surgery... so i did a lot more sleeping than now. And there were no complications during that surgery like there were this time, either. Sorry to keep carrying on about this. I am wide awake despite taking melatonin earlier. I'm off the Percocet.

Yup, going across the country to see the parents... which is basically just a different flavor of stress, but frankly at this point I’ll take what I can get.

Una get a new GP. Yours sounds like a energy sucking vampire.

Well done on the dishes! I don't have a dishwasher at my place. When I'm super low they're the last on my list and get done when they get done.

It may sound simplistic for me to say, but try to find joy in the small things even if it's as simple as a cup of coffee and take it from there. Do you like music or art? Perhaps try to go out to events/ the cinema .

Volunteer if you can. Food banks are always looking for volunteers or for a charity you like.

Give yourself thing to look forward to- order new books. See the dishy physiotherapist, maybe go for a massage.
