My PDOC wants to terminate me as I´m doing fine.
I´m a bit worried and wonder if I could ask for an appoinment in a year or so. I don´t need her, but just as some kind of safety. Would it be really weird to ask for that ?? |

That's great news!
I wouldn't call it weird, but maybe unnecessary to schedule, if that's what you meant. Some places don't even schedule that far out. How about telling her you are thinking you might want to check in with her in a year? I also think expressing your concerns or anxiety before terminating is a good thing to do. Maybe she could prescribe you a few Ativans to keep on hand just in case your anxiety resurfaces when you don't have an appointment. What are you worried about? |

I am returning to my Pdoc after not needing her for 3 years... we are both excited to see eachother again and catch up. She is sad I need meds again but is happy to see me. She was also willing to do infrequent check ins over the time apart but I was not able to.

I worry about not feeling safe even though I don´t need to see her in person anymore. She has a one year waitinglist when I do terminate.

Wow, a year waiting list is really quite long. HUGS Kit

That won't be weird at all. Go for it.
