My therapist is on vacation as well. The whole week. It sucks! I wish it was different as well. But as you said, they do need their time. It's the holidays. Though they know it's hard for their clients, they need to spend those times with family. They are setting a good example of way life SHOULD BE by appropriately spending it with those they love. Which for clients is very difficult because some have not experienced that sort of family love.

I have similar situations, too. Once my t had me journal during what would have been our appoinment time. It worked out OK, not the same as a session but it allowed me to pretend a bit and say wahat I wanted to.

I do pretend therapy with myself as T and client. I will miss my T too. I get to see her in January. I failed to schedule appointments due to the end of school and distaste for asking off at work to see her. But, I have already left one voice mail saying that I miss her. She left for two or three months for shoulder surgery. I had a substitute T but she wasn't MY T.
I hope you find a way to keep your T with you in your mind until you can see T again.

My therapist will be gone too. What a hard week for that to happen. Even though I understand that they too have lives and need some "downtime" it doesn't make it any easier.
