My house is full fruit fly and of curse fly spray doesn't do much they are too small.
All the fruit is in the fridge

I had fruit flies a couple months ago. Homemade trap: fill a container with equal amounts vinegar, water, and sugar, and squirt a few drops of a fruit scented dish detergent on top.

Worked like a charm. Dozens of tiny dead bugs floating on top the next morning.

There is one flying around my computer right now & it's driving me nuts.

I killed 5 or 6 when they gathered around my workout clothes I was soaking in a mixture of vinegar & water (ew).

Time for the homemade trap.

So I just looked up what I thought was the textbook for my geology class on Amazon to see if it was cheaper than through school, and learned it's not a textbook, it's a box of 40 rock specimens! That's cool, I guess. Hands on is always good. I wonder what we'll be using for a textbook... hmm.

ugh fruit flies are the worst. I make a trap of red win vinegar and a little sugar. I cover the cup with cling wrap and poke holes in. they cant resist.

I don’t know what I did to deserve my current nanny family, but they just extended my stay for 1 month since my new job doesn’t start until Sept. 9. I feel very blessed. I must of did something right for them.

What understanding people I hope your new family is the same or similar good luck

I tried to talk to my H about my suicidal thoughts. He told me to stop talking about it; he didn't want to hear it. He instead changed the topic and told me I need to get a job. Just now, he asked me how my day was. I told him okay, but I'm still depressed. He said "I know" and changed the topic.

Of course my last night at my current job was horrible. First, the company sent TWO trainees to train (when only one person works at a time) - and the two of them had to fight it out over who would stay and get the supervisor involved (I stayed out of it - not my circus). Then the trainee who stayed magically knew everything and told me what I did and did not do correctly all night. Yay. Between her and the regular employee who drives me crazy I was counting down the hours/minutes.

A ton of noise and behavior issues with our clientele. No sooner got everyone all settled and behaving when "Drunk Bob" showed up on his bicycle. He is the local drunk we have banned from the property. He pulled up on his bicycle, I stood up to call 911 to have him arrested, he saw me and took off faster than I have ever seen him ride his bicycle. I will say this impressed my trainee - she said "He didn't want any part of dealing with Polibeth". No, no he didn't. Since he left right away without coming inside I didn't call the police.

So happy that 6am is here!
