Welcome to the couch, old and new! A place to hang out - sometimes you get immediate feedback, sometimes you don't.

Shouting, "Cool Whip" tends to bring others out from between the cushions if you're feeling lonely.

This is a chatty thread. All are welcome. We're kind of psychologically oriented, sometimes. We try to be supportive. At times we discuss what that means.

It’s a place to plop down on the couch when you come home from work or wherever, or wake up in the middle of the night, or check in at lunch, rant a bit or not, and be among friends.

We advise you not to drink or drug and text your therapist ("T") - we speak from experience.

Sometimes the thread moves fast and you might get overlooked; sometimes it moves slowly and all you hear are crickets. Sometimes you get hugged or thanked pages later. So if it's a bigger question, you might want to start a new thread.

Grab a cushion, a spot on the floor, or an armchair in the corner and make yourselves comfy.

"Gingerbread refers to a broad category of baked goods, typically flavored with ginger, cloves, nutmeg or cinnamon and sweetened with honey, sugar or molasses.Gingerbread foods vary, ranging from a soft, moist loaf cake to something close to a ginger snap"

QUOTE=Lemoncake;6668648]I;m glad you guys had a fab time.
I;m not allowed to use the claw machines since I lost £0.80p trying to get a toy when I was a kid.

Well done on the cleaning plan! Doesn't matter when it's done just as long as it's done.[/QUOTE]

Haha. When I was a kid I was down the shore on a boardwalk and they had a bunch of claw machines all in a row. I played the one with the biggest stuffed animals. Each game was 50 cents. After I put close to $15.00 dollars in the machine the gaming attendant felt bad and he unlocked the game opened it up and gave me the stuffed animal.

Angry. I disputed the move out damage assessed at my old apartment. I emailed them first and when they didn't respond, I sent a certified letter with a check for $400 of the $594 they asked for. I have the right to dispute such charges. They cashed the check but did not otherwise respond. Today the mother texts me to say she's received a letter from a collections agency that says the old apartment has filed a claim against me for $594. What the ****. I am upset for multiple reasons. I am pissed off that the initial damage assessment they sent informed me of my right to dispute the charges, I did so, and they apparently don't even have to respond before filing against me. I am also obviously very angry that they took my $400 then didn't account for that when they filed their claim. Now I have to dispute the amount with this collections agency. Finally, I am really annoyed that the letter was not sent to me when the last apartment place has my current address and sent their damage assessment here. I have no idea why the collections letter was sent to the mother's address. She was not a guarantor. That is not the address on my license. I am pissed off because what if it wasn't a family member who lived there, but a stranger? I would never know that this was happening until my credit score took a hit.

Susannah, is there a renter’s bill of rights in your state? If so, start complaining to the state office in charge of that.

Artie, what are you learning at this conference? (I don't think I really know what shamanism is?)

I think I could file a consumer complaint with the state attorney general's office.

Yes. Perhaps attach your bank statement showing the check cashed as well so they credit the 400 towards the bill.

I'm into this kind of thing as well. I've been interested in spirituality all my life and try to meditate although it has kind of taken a back seat currently. Glad you've found something that helps you so much.

The fun police are at it again in my country. A guy was being interviewed regarding his views on Halloween being an American tradition and we shouldnt let it invade our culture but he was wearing a baseball cap! I so wanted the interviewer to point this out and ask if he drank coca cola...idiot!
It started in Ireland why does no one do there research properly

I spent $68.00 at the grocery store this AM and nothing I bought actually makes a meal. It was all odds and ends. This happens more often than not. Now I don’t have anything decent to eat all week.

I wish I had something that could help. Does T know how much you're struggling. Could he offer you something like a double session?

Periods can worsen moods and Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder is a real thing.

Why does DH get to decide why you couldn't finish crafts?

Thanks @Lemoncake.
I dont know if T understands how much I'm truly struggling. I think the fact that I've been hospitalized twice in 3 months and did IOP for a few weeks should show how much of a hard time I'm having.

The crafts were at the mall as part of the trick or treating...the flyer said they were outside. H said it didnt look like there were any outside and said we're done and left.

Today is snowing and miserable. Yesterday was a high of 75, today and the next few days it's supposed to snow and be in the 20s. I think we're going to carve pumpkins tonight.

A guy on tv this week said to only ever buy ingredients for dinner. I think it was mike walsh, a clutter guy, on rachael ray. Then have leftovers for breakfast and lunch. Something like that. Anyway, the total opposite of what i do.
