Hi everyone, I haven't been here for some time. I'm forced to take a break from therapy in winter and I'm panicking. I don't know how I'll manage and I'm afraid something will happen and I'll never return again.

Oh I'm so sorry. Taking a break like that from therapy can be so hard and disruptive. Do you have any other supports in your life that can help you through this time? Some good friends perhaps? It's not the same as T but just someone to go to if you are having a hard time? Lots of hugs, Kit

Oh no, I’m sorry to hear this. I had this happen to me as well, and it actually worked out in my benefit. Even though I was pausing from attending appointments, I reserved that hour each week to do something for myself (take a walk, journal).

The first few weeks were excruciating. And then something happened and I calmed down a lot. I stopped feeling anxious about therapy in general. Now that I’m back in appointments, I feel like I have more focus and motivation.

I hope you’re able to find some good in this disruptive time.
Thanks for this!

Thank you both, sweethearts. It's difficult but i rationally understand its for my benefit. I just don't do well with changes. Another thing is that during these months I'll live with my parents in a tiny flat. Usually i live alone. So now two major changes - no therapy and having no privacy and change in my daily routine.
I don't have any friends physically near me, just online... I'll have to message them more often. I could use my session time for exercise and meditation. I hope I'll be ok it just seems so overwhelming now!
