Hoping your session goes well.

Your anxiety is perfectly understandable! Do you have anything to distract yourself until her arrives? I play music on my phone.

I bought an oat mix so the batter looked a bit thicker. On the box they had tiny ones but I thought I'd just make one big one. It stuck to the pan despite it being a non stick pan and in trying to scrape it off it resembled an egg, but it tasted okay.

Then i tried to make another two smaller ones but they cooked a lot on one side but the other side started going really brown in certain areas but wasn't fully cooked in others.

I just had dinner of brown rice cakes and cheese!

Thanks, Lemon! I'm already feeling a bit better. My kid was only sick for about a day, so I'm hoping mine follows the same timeline. My wife took today off anyway, so she's been taking excellent care of me, which almost makes being sick worth it. (We are both so used to only having the time and energy to take care of the baby and possibly ourselves, so this feels decadent.)

Liz and I have standing appointments, Wednesday one week and then Friday the next and then back to Wednesday, so fortunately I'm already on the books for this Wednesday. I am pleased at how not-gutted I feel by her cancelation. Maybe we are finally back on solid ground after our semi-permanent move to Rupture Town?

Thanks, Lemon

I paused the dating apps for a bit because I was seeing a guy I thought I liked but then I got sick of him so I’m back at it. Ugh.

We dont have "boiled sweets" in america. (Googling). Oh! We call it "hard candy"! All this time i thought it was something exotic that only Little Women had access to! Seriously!

Glad you’re starting to feel better, EM, and that your wife is taking good care of you. Hope the illness is short-lived!

I got the statement to submit to the insurance now that Pdoc is cash only, so that way I can get reimbursed some. He changed my diagnosis: It is now Schizoaffective disorder, depressive type, generalized anxiety disorder (which I already had), and ADHD--inattentive type--that's new. Welp, I guess there's something to talk to T about tomorrow on top of everything else!

It's the worst feeling, I woke up in terror but now no clue why, my son (5) was in bed next to me (he wasn't feeling great) and I woke up to him at 3am stroking my head and saying I love you mommy, so lord knows if I said anything lol

It went well, thanks Lemon. Talked about my SH a bit, the meltdown with my son that resulted in me taking him to the crisis walk in, and talked about the pdoc situation. He messaged a doctor at a hospital he used to work at to see if they have openings for a psychiatrist. And gave me some links for the online talk therapy platforms and other things to see if I find anything that I might think would be helpful especially at night.

I just played on my phone while I was waiting. 5 minutes is okay especially if I was warned ahead.

The Chaffle Benedict. It’s what’s for dinner.

And, that is somehow the first egg I ever poached.

It’s actually a plastic plate from a set my grandmother had (so probably 1950s/1960s originally). The others cracked or I took food on them to parties and never got the plate back. This is the sole survivor.

I have not eaten baloney in 30 years.

Fried bologna was big treat when I was growing up. My mom would make it sometimes out of oscar meyer bologna, but more often it was when my dad was left alone with us and we would go get a roll of bologna and he would slice it, fry it up, and put it on white bread with mustard. My sibling and I ate ours plain but my dad liked pickles on his. Yum - it was good. Now I want one.

All good at the dermatologist. She did freeze a little bump on my scalp but said it was probably nothing. Whew.

You’re on a hot streak, WFS. Good mediation, good medical news.

I do. But I don't want to "ruin" the book so I converr a page into black and white lineart and colour it in using Photoshop.

I should buy a lottery ticket at least. Oh wait. Maybe not. With my luck, I'd win millions of dollars next week and have to split it.

That kind of crummy luck I could handle, I guess.

I think this new med cocktail might be helping some. I dont know if it is the Cymbalta generic or the increased rexulti dose. My T said she could see some positive changes in me this week. I'm really tired on the meds but my T said to give it time. Had a good T appointment. I'm too tired to write about it now but I will try to later or another day. Gave her the DX from my psychiatrist. She only seemed surprised about one. She's hopeful the hallucinations will be better on these meds. Hugs to anyone who wants one. Kit

I think the instructor wants more. One of the given examples is "write a story in which every sentence begins with a letter of the alphabet, in order. One sentence must be one word. One must be exactly 100 words." That sort of thing.
