I haven't talked to my sister in a few days, the social worker, I wonder how they are handling the visits they usually have to do to families. Thinking about so many things it's really hard not to just fall into full blown panic isn't it. So much is being affected right now and it's so sad and frightening and I'm struggling to be able to focus and help the people who are writing in at work to the best of my ability. I've been making a lot of outbound phone calls to better be able to reassure members that we're doing everything we can as a company to make sure they still get their meds on time, etc.

Some people are at work today and it sounds like they’re waiving the requirement to see our caseload in person. We’re waiting on federal guidance to be sure. I’m not holding my breath.

I’m at my allergist’s for my shot and they have rearranged the waiting room so every chair is two feet away from the next one.

I was out back with D while she was playing on our fenced-in deck that's considered our backyard (townhouse). And we could both hear other kids playing basketball in the neighborhood. And I just started crying because part of me wanted to be like, "Maybe you could go join them, maybe they're from your school." But I realized it's not safe to do so. And it just all hit me even more. It's like 20 minutes later, and I'm still crying... What if this is just how it's going to be for months? Not just kids, but with other people in general?

Did they say anything about having you (guys) work from home again? Are you still set up for that? Are many people able to do that?

No rush in answering, i was just wondering, since you were set up for it before.

I get it tho, re the customers. I fill my monthly pillbox, then the next month comes up pretty darn fast and pretty soon we need a refill, and all of a sudden its complicated.

Another Twitter suggestion: meet friends and family over Skype for coffee (everyone at home and with their own coffee) or whatever you like, a meal, a birthday party.

Yes, I know it’s not the same.

I was at my allergist's this morning for an appt. & the waiting room was mostly full, chair's still close to each other (but to be fair, the waiting room hardly has space to move any).
I think everyone was holding their breath.

Hugs, LT. it's all getting to me today too. I feel on the verge of tears every hour or so, but I'm doing my darndest to fight it off at least until I get off work today. I need to stay focused on helping our members get through this difficult time. I can cry into a margarita (out of my fridge of course) after work.

My college just canceled summer registration for the time being.

Couch question: I see Pastor T tonight. Should I tell him I was paranoid last week that he was going to hurt me and that's why I cancelled? Also I think the hospital implanted a tracking device when I was there. I'm scared to tell him that because I think he might send me to the hospital which is the last place I want to be. HUGS Kit

Hugs, Kit. I'm not sure. If he was a T who was more trained in/had more experience in that sort of thing, I'd say yes. But I'm not sure how he'd react to either of those things. So I'd say maybe don't talk about them? I think you can talk about them with regular T, just less so with him.

I went for my 1 pm session downtown today. It was like a ghost town. So many empty parking spaces, which was nice but also very eerie. He says he prefers and he's going to continue doing in person sessions unless one of us gets sick and he will do phone or video if it comes to that. I wonder what his other clients are choosing to do though. He's told me that Monday is his busiest day and I saw him leaving after I did so I wonder if people are cancelling on him. He normally doesn't start until 11 am so that's like only 3 clients he could've seen today. I hope he has some savings or something. And that he's not coming in just for me.

I'm seeing Dr. T tomorrow for an extra session (not doing so well at coping with all of this), and he also wanted to do in person. Part of me wonders if I should say video, but I also feel sorta weird about that. I have this horrible fear that I'm somehow going to transmit something to him and kill him. Even though, as he said last session, because I'm so careful with cleanliness/germs, I'm the last client he'd worry about that with. yet I keep thinking my D is probably a walking vector. Perhaps I'll sit in the chair further from him tomorrow.

It could be people are canceling on your T or maybe insisting on video/phone sessions, so he's just doing them from home. So he could be getting paid by them? Mine said he's going to follow what clients want for now.

Go to the Dallas Symphony Orchestra FB page and you can see last year's performance of Beethoven's 7th Symphony conducted by Fabio Luisi. It's lovely.

Also, the FB page for Classic FM had a fantastic live performance (that I think you can still watch) of Bach's St. John's Passion last night.

Having to get my music where I can. Our performance of Schmidt's Das Buch has been canceled (after months of rehearsals) and the rest of the season is in limbo.

My university is now down for the rest of the semester, huge surprise.

At least I can comfort myself my classes on Zoom will not become like this. Except maybe for the cat butt.
