I haven't been helped, not by therapists nor counsellors or by being a patient in outpatient psychiatric care for five years now.

I've seen a few people that helped me a little in the moment I saw them but not in the long run. My experience is though common among public mental health care patients in Sweden.

We often don't get access to psychotherapy but mostly medicine and counseling run by poorly trained professionals. As the Swedish government don't really want people with mental illness to be part of society, they don't care people don't get the treatments they need.

I'm way more depressed and less functioning now than when I first started to look for help. Nothing to do about it.
