Is anyone else having issues with insurance company's calling around and asking your therapists questions? That happened to me last week and then I got a call today that I let go to voice message and they want to talk to me now. I don’t get why they are doing this. You’d think they would be more kind and understanding in times like this. Yes we are mentally ill. Yes we still need to see our therapists weekly. It’s really pissing me off right now.

I believe that the insurance companies calling is standard business practice. They, after all, aren’t really invested in our health, as opposed to making money. That is assuming that you’re in the US.
I get a weekly call from the insurance company to make sure I’m stable and making sure that I have what I need. I’m under no delusion that it’s because they care. They just want to keep me out of the hospital. |

Whenever anything is going on with my health insurance I tend to panic. So I feel for you, Md.
It's been a little while, though, since they started nosing around and nothing bad has happened. Perhaps you can place a call to your ins company and ask straight up? Tell them you're concerned, and ask.

They called back today and they just wanted to make sure I had what I needed and to see what else they could do for me. It has nothing do with cutting anything. I’m on a type of insurance that mostly only older people are on. I worried for nothing but things have been difficult lately and I’ve been edgy about stuff like insurance.
