I just found out that my cousin (who is a doctor) has covid. He figures he got it because he has treated patients who refused to wear a mask. I'm surprised that his office is allowing that, when I've been to the doctor here they require a mask. He's got a high fever and is pretty sick but riding it out at home. That's 5 people that I know now that have or have had it.

P and I exchanged emails and then had a 15 minute phone call this morning to talk about his upcoming trip and the temperature/mask thing. I'm glad we talked because I got some things off my chest and he was very accepting of my feelings. He didn't get defensive when I said I was questioning his judgement. I'm going to go in person tomorrow and just deal with his mask wearing and if I get emotional about it, I guess we'll deal with it then. I think he's decided against taking client's temperature.

Hugs, Artie, I hope your cousin is OK. I also can't believe they allow patients to get away with not wearing masks.

The tough decision I was wrestling with so much that I made an appointment with Info has at least temporarily been taken out of my hands. The feeling of relief (even if it’s just temporary) is wonderful. I might sleep tonight.

Thank you LT.
I just un-friended someone on facebook (we used to work together years ago) because she ridiculed my decision to wear a mask at the exact wrong time. I think I'm just done with facebook period. |

A couple of my family members have had it - the younger one had no symptoms at all and the other got better without hospitalization but still can't taste things.
My poor dog has to deal with me flushing and bandaging his paw. I am okay with the flushing but the poor thing looks like he has been through a major disaster with my wrapping skills. __________________ Please NO @ Selfishness is not living as one wishes to live, it is asking others to live as one wishes to live. I would think your rapping skills would have benefitted from your long devotion to G&S, and haiku. I see you as a lady lin-wel miranda.

I worry about you. And my rapping skills are even worse than my wrapping skills.

I just looked at our budget, and I’m literally considering making an OnlyFans to help pay the bills. It’s that bad

stopdog's rappin'
a song about wrappin' and una is singing along. The dogs aren't amused and have likely refused to listen to above-referenced song. |

L is alive and well. I called her one last time just before midnight and she picked up! We had a good 15min reassuring talk. She said she had just been away from her phone and computer longer than expected today. I had a complete breakdown I was so worried about her. I'm just glad she's okay.

My car is getting towed to a mechanic today. Wouldn't start Saturday, thought might have been battery again, but the AAA guy that came out said he thinks it's an electrical problem. He got the car to start, but then it went sorta crazy, with horn honking, windshield wipers going on their own, one headlight flashing. It's a nearly 10-year-old car, approaching 80,000 miles (I don't drive a whole lot!) Depending on the price of repairs, I'm wondering if it's time to just let it go, as it has some other minor issues as well (though I did just replace all the brake components like a year ago). I also think water may have leaked in it again (this happened once before), so maybe all the seals are going up? I'm sad because I love the car, but... And my H has paid off his car, so we could afford it. If it's an inexpensive fix (like a new fuse or something), maybe I'll just do that and think about replacing car in next year or so.
It's just another stressor I don't want to have to deal with right now... on the plus side, I can easily be without the car for a few days... |

Sorry to hear, LT. One more thing on top of everything else is a real pain.
