This is the first time without notice in 12 years that my pdoc has missed an appt without telling me. I waited 40 minutes on the computer and then texted him. I called the office and the secretary didn’t answer. No text back yet so my anxiety that was already through the roof today is worse. It is so unlike him.

I know how hard it is NOT to jump to conclusions. Try to do something that doesn't focus on this. Put your mind to something else, until you know there's something to be upset about. Good luck.

I am so sorry. I would be a mess! I hope they get with you soon and that it wasn’t anything major and they handle it well.

I'm sorry that happened to you. It happened to me recently too. My T and I have been meeting at the park. I got up early for our 9AM appointment and I was left there alone and confused. Apparently, they have receptionists who are supposed to notify their clients when the therapists call in sick or have to cancel for any reason and the receptionist failed to do so.

It was also out of my T's character to be a complete "no-show" without warning but I understand it wasn't his fault. Now he makes the effort to just text me himself whenever he has a problem upholding an appointment which I am grateful for. Your Pdoc's 12 year track record is quite impressive but we all are human and can't be perfect. I hope you're doing okay after that missed appointment. I know it can throw things off, stay strong.

He took the day off but no one informed me. It really stressed me out.
